Thanks for the update. I've been trying to find out when the schedule comes out and hadnt got a definitive answer yet. I'm hoping the Sabres will play in Columbus this year. I live there now and they only played a preseason game there this past season. The game there during our President's trophy season was PACKED with Sabres fans. It was a blast (except blowing a 3rd period lead and loosing the game!)

i see there's a classic 7-game road trip in january.

also appears that we close the year out with 11 of the last 16 (and 5 of the last 6) games on the road.

these guys better make hay when they can.

I had just written that 11 of 16 .......ouch.

18 sets of back-to-back games (44% of games), 12 of which are Fri/Sat

Of those, 10 are Home/Away or Away/Home, and 4 are Away/Away in different cities.

A bunch of home on Fridays, away on Saturdays. Get ready for the excuses now.

That's how it was when I was a kid and young adult going to the Aud. Friday night home games were great.

rickshaw probably saw this, but not sure if anyone else did. Vancouver has 14 consecutive road games in February and March because of the Olympics. Talk about a killer schedule, nothing beats 14 straight road games. Let's see if they make the playoffs with that kind of schedule.

just read in the online paper that the arena's hosting of the ncaa basketball tournament plays a role in our year-end schedule. i'm sure that's of great comfort to the team.

9 of the first 12 against last year non-playoff teams. Gotta start really fast.

Of course those are teams that the Sabres usually lose against.

Which part?

2*18=36

36/82 = .439 (~44%)

10 H/A or A/H, 4 A/A, leaving 4 H/H for 18 total

See, when you wrote this, "Of those, 10 are Home/Away or Away/Home, and 4 are Away/Away in different cities," it came to a total of 14. It's the "leaving 4 H/H" part that was missing & confused me.

Next year, I will know to solve for H/H.
