Alaska Darin Posted July 11, 2009 Report Posted July 11, 2009 It's funny how much people whined about not having enough veteran defensive depth a few seasons ago when we lost so many players in the playoffs. Now the team does exactly that and everyone whines about it too. What a bunch of . Welcome to the team, Joe Dipenta.

And they pick up a guy who will spend the majority of his time in Portland and people already want to tear DiPenta apart. I wish I could remember if guys like Bouck and Murphy got the same response last year. These kind of signings aren't anything new. Portland needs players too.

"People," "everyone" and "they" are very busy yacking it up in our society.
tom webster Posted July 12, 2009 Report Posted July 12, 2009 I don't even want to go back into the other DiPenta thread. Sooo much negativity. There are 5 out of 16 posts that would be considered negative and 2 of those are more humorous then anything else. Let's not exagerate the amount of negativity this signing has generated.
X. Benedict Posted July 12, 2009 Report Posted July 12, 2009 I saw Joe DiPenta at Dinky Donuts. You should have seen him dunk his donut into his coffee...he was focused, man....focused.

I seem to remember Lydman-Fitzpatrick Janik-Campbell Jillson-Paestch (Pomminstein) As the top seven in the last game of 2006. Good signing.
