spndnchz Posted July 1, 2009 Author Report Posted July 1, 2009 Good for Chicago, they are going to have a mess on their hands in the next year or two in relation to salary cap. Who's more scary? Kane-Toews-Hossa or Vanek-Connolly-Pominville? Yeah, thought so. Chicago realizes that this year they need to go for it because like bread said, Kane, Toews, Ladd, Keith all FA next year (and Hossa I'll assume)
Two or less Posted July 1, 2009 Report Posted July 1, 2009 Dreger reports Hossa to Hawks is done.... 12 years for $65 million.
wjag Posted July 1, 2009 Report Posted July 1, 2009 Dreger reports Hossa to Hawks is done.... 12 years for $65 million. Gulp

X. Benedict Posted July 1, 2009 Report Posted July 1, 2009 Dreger reports Hossa to Hawks is done.... 12 years for $65 million. 12 years ... I'm waiting for the 25 yr contract for someone over 30.
X. Benedict Posted July 1, 2009 Report Posted July 1, 2009 any word on Mike Cammalleri? are we even interested? I am.
spndnchz Posted July 1, 2009 Author Report Posted July 1, 2009 Hossa. Cheaper than Soupy. How things change. and Antropov wants 5 mill. Yeahright.
Two or less Posted July 1, 2009 Report Posted July 1, 2009 any word on Mike Cammalleri? are we even interested? Sportsnet.ca's Daren Millard says it's between NYR, Ottawa or Toronto.....
Swedesessed Posted July 1, 2009 Report Posted July 1, 2009 I am really at peace this offseason when it comes to the Sabres. Based on recent history we all know how it works: Day 1: Nothing, Regier is the Devil Day 2: Still nothing, Regier is the Devil. Day 3: Regier and Sabres generally find someone, he is ok for a second, then he is the Devil again.
Calvin Posted July 1, 2009 Report Posted July 1, 2009 no interest in Kotalik either? gee.. i wonder why! :nana:
CallawaySabres Posted July 1, 2009 Report Posted July 1, 2009 At this point, I will honestly be happy if we can get rid of the garbage on this team and get draft picks instead. Hope springs eternal for 2010!

darksabre Posted July 1, 2009 Report Posted July 1, 2009 Conklin 2 year deal with St Louis.... That's good for St. Louis. Mason played great this year but he needs someone solid to back him up.
silvermike Posted July 1, 2009 Report Posted July 1, 2009 Islanders sign Roloson. Splitting time with the 15 year man Rick DiPietro?
X. Benedict Posted July 1, 2009 Report Posted July 1, 2009 SEDINS VAN @ 6.1 apiece BOUWMEESTER, JAY @ 6.600 HOSSA @ 5.200 OHLUND @ 3.750 This really hasn't gone crazy yet. Hossa and Ohlunds terms are long though.
shrader Posted July 1, 2009 Report Posted July 1, 2009 I'm sure Chicago will be dumb and package Toews somewhere next year instead of Kane.
jwcolour Posted July 1, 2009 Report Posted July 1, 2009 12 years ... I'm waiting for the 25 yr contract for someone over 30. I live in chicago now and bunch of my buds are happy about it. After reading the terms i'd says its a pretty alright deal. Kind of like Zetterburg (though Hossa is 30). He'll be a great player for a good years and probably still pretty good after year 5 or 6. Provided some horrible injury doesn't come along.
jwcolour Posted July 1, 2009 Report Posted July 1, 2009 I'm sure Chicago will be dumb and package Toews somewhere next year instead of Kane. Total guess and assumption but i'd imagine they'd try to do another one of these long zetterburgish deals for them.
Calvin Posted July 1, 2009 Report Posted July 1, 2009 Total guess and assumption but i'd imagine they'd try to do another one of these long zetterburgish deals for them. i wouldn't mind us doing a zetterburgish deal for Patty Kane
shrader Posted July 1, 2009 Report Posted July 1, 2009 Total guess and assumption but i'd imagine they'd try to do another one of these long zetterburgish deals for them. The money will have to be huge for guys their age.
Foligno's Nose Posted July 1, 2009 Report Posted July 1, 2009 SEDINS VAN @ 6.1 apiece BOUWMEESTER, JAY @ 6.600 HOSSA @ 5.200 OHLUND @ 3.750 Darcy sitting on his duff .... priceless. (not unexpected though)
