Until he starts missing games with injuries and everyone gives up on him like they did Timmy The Man Connolly.

He'll probably miss plenty of games like Phil Housley, something like 50 in 20 years.

Nashville had a nice draft.

Players are a hell of a lot bigger and stronger now than they were during Housley's days. Not to mention all the armor they're wearing now.

He fell out of the top 10 because of his size. I'd be willing to gamble on him.

I'm not suggesting you would want an entire team of Sub 6' players. But I think he's a player.

Yeah, I have no problem with that. I'm just not all that crazy about comparing anyone from today's game to guys from the past. Too many things have changed, especially if we're going to talk about injury issues.

True. Comparisons are always odious.

But let's say he has the skill set of Matt Schneider...and a similar frame, maybe he's slightly smaller than Rafalski was at his age. Shneider probably has injury issues because he is 40....Rafalski doesn't miss too many games. We aren't talking about stay at home shut-down defenseman...we are talking about positional puck movers.
