SDS Posted June 25, 2015 Report Posted June 25, 2015 I think Bowie's lyrics are incredible in this song. Love Nirvana's cover. Quote
JJFIVEOH Posted June 25, 2015 Report Posted June 25, 2015 27 pages of songs you all can't get out of your head. Hopefully there's room for other things to go through your minds. Quote
Ogre Posted June 26, 2015 Report Posted June 26, 2015 I think Bowie's lyrics are incredible in this song. Love Nirvana's cover. Big fan of Kurt. I remember the day he died. Huge humble talent IMO. The unplugged brought me around to the Meat Puppets. We used "Shine" at our wedding reception. "In the middle of a battle is a little of the way you talk...and you shine...." It seemed to fit us. SwampD Posted June 26, 2015 Report Posted June 26, 2015 I think Bowie's lyrics are incredible in this song. Love Nirvana's cover. Grohl was the only thing holding that band together. Cobain was hype. I still like Nirvana, but Grohl is for reals. Quote

Huckleberry Posted July 12, 2015 Report Posted July 12, 2015 still shocked that the rest of the country agreed with me about them Don't find them to be special, not a bad song but can't see it get much airplay over here. next song is stuck in my head for a week now :D Quote
bunomatic Posted July 13, 2015 Report Posted July 13, 2015 Not a BIG fan of Alabama Shakes but that song ' I don't want to fight no more ' to me could have been on any Stones album during the disco era. Great song but I'd love to see Mick and co. do that one. Quote

SwampD Posted July 16, 2015 Report Posted July 16, 2015 Huh? Really? You've never heard that theme song? Quote
darksabre Posted July 16, 2015 Author Report Posted July 16, 2015 Really? You've never heard that theme song? I willingly submit that I've never had any interest in The Munsters. I can't say I know anything about the show. Quote
That Aud Smell Posted July 16, 2015 Report Posted July 16, 2015 The Munsters? Huh? Really? You've never heard that theme song? I willingly submit that I've never had any interest in The Munsters. I can't say I know anything about the show. Loving that song without having The Munsters riff as a point of context is ... well. I guess I'm (we're) just getting old. I'll also say: The tune does nothing for me. Nothing on the radio has grabbed me (in a cotton candy sort of way) this summer either, as it has in years past (e.g., Call Me Maybe or Fancy (I'm neither proud nor particularly sophisticated when it comes to windows down, kids in the van, summer jams)).
