Played The Legend of Zelda on NES last night.

Now this in my brain all day:

And now it's in mine, NES emulator here I come...

On a game related note, broke out the Rock Band set the other day and A7x Nightmare has been in my head since:

Took a nice ride with my dad searching for cars yesterday, this came on the radio and it's been stuck in my head all day

Also, for Glass and Otto, you reminded me of this

While Pandora doesn't have a polka channel, searching for "Beer Barrel Polka" will get a pretty good selection (and some crap that sounds like it was done on a 90s Casio, but what are you going to do). So now I have this running around:

(I suppose being the most racy polka I've heard, it may be NSFW)

A lot of people didn't like this album but I dug it. The music video for Hella Good always makes me think of Water World.

Damn you Weird Al your songs are so catchy

I can never hear American Pie with the right lyrics in my head thanks to you

ALSO, I blame you iTunes your shuffle makes random songs get stuck in my head

If family/friends are torturing you w/ the song Let it Go, you'll like this video.

I just heard that Tommy Ramone (the last of the surviving original Ramones) passed away during Ramadan.

It is said that The Clash was "the only band that mattered" (and it's not just me and Neo (shout out to Neo) saying it) and I really believe it. I also believe that without the Ramones there would have never been The Clash (and other bands of that era). There would have never been a White Riot if there wasn't a Blitzkrieg Bop ...

RIP ... Joey, Johnny, Dee Dee and now Tommy.

That will be one gig up in the sky that I won't miss.

Also heard that one of my favourite blues guitarists passed away, as well.

RIP ... Johnny.

This Raury kid is a ~17 (18?) year old prodigy from Atlanta.

Fair warning: The song -- and to a greater extent the video -- are, to someone my age, essentially about adolescent intellectual arrogance run amok (i.e., he hears God's whisper, he is the savior -- his crew walks down suburban streets in the morning, smoking and drinking and attacking each other with fireworks), but damned if the kid hasn't put together a fascinating track. I love it. There's something to be admired about a kid his age taking his art so seriously. I'm a fan, albeit well beyond his targeted "demo."
