Two or less Posted April 28, 2009 Report Posted April 28, 2009 Wish there was a youtube of the hit but I have read in several players that it was a very brutal hit. But, congrats to Myers for winning the playoffs MVP award. I guess he has been a dominate force in the playoffs. One game he played like 27 minutes and had done a very good job in one on one against Evander Kane, a high pick in June's draft.
darksabre Posted April 28, 2009 Report Posted April 28, 2009 So long as he's not the next Bertuzzi then alright!
rickshaw Posted April 30, 2009 Report Posted April 30, 2009 He is far from a Bertuzzi. He's a very nice kid, some say too mean. My boss was at the game and she said he the guy he hit turned at the last second. Myers was already committed to the hit and being as tall as he is, crunched him in the back of the head. But a goon he is not. http://www.am1150.ca/blog/920649
spndnchz Posted April 30, 2009 Report Posted April 30, 2009 Thursday, April 30, 2009 Myers good to go The WHL has announced that Tyler Myers will not be suspended for his hit from behind on Vancouver's Craig Schira in Monday's game six victory. In making their decision, the league further opined that the hit should have been ruled a double-minor as opposed to the five-minute major and game misconduct that was assessed. With their stud defenseman cleared for action, the Rockets will travel to Calgary to kick off the WHL Finals on Friday. They two clubs split the regular season series 1-1. Not a lot to smile about with the Sabres as of late, but knowing that they have the rights to the "stud defenseman" of a team playing in the WHL finals does make me :) .
