Corp000085 Posted April 26, 2009 Report Posted April 26, 2009 Just had to brag here... The dr. says its a boy, so i'm praying for a healthy son to be born on or around September 25th, right before the Sabres season. Maybe, just maybe, there is a reason for my long suffering for a championship. Maybe, the Bills and Sabres were just waiting for him to be born!

Seems that the majority of us have sons here. I'll have to post my Lee Evans onesies and Slug sleepers in the Trading Post :D

My wife and I found out about 11 weeks ago that we, too, are having our first son. I hope he'll be as big a fan of the Sabres and Bills as his big sister is! Being a Buffalo sports fan is pretty much a Hanes family rule.
tom webster Posted April 26, 2009 Report Posted April 26, 2009 Great news. As a father of four (1 boy, the oldest) I can tell you that there is nothing like having children. Keeps everything in perspective. One warning, however, a friend of mine was told he was going to have a son, spent a fortune on the room and other things. That son is now finishing up HER first year of medical school.

nfreeman Posted April 26, 2009 Report Posted April 26, 2009 yesssssssssssss!! If this is your first -- you're in for a bit of an adjustment in lifestyle. It's pretty rough at first but it gets a bit better every day. And it's by far the most rewarding experience I've ever had. Congrats to you and your wife.
Two or less Posted April 26, 2009 Report Posted April 26, 2009 Congrats corp! Best of luck my friend.

Technology has improved since then, plus, what I saw on that screen was most definitely boy parts...
Stoner Posted April 26, 2009 Report Posted April 26, 2009 It's really exciting to think that in a little over 20 years, the little guy could be playing for Lindy Ruff... in Buffalo.
X. Benedict Posted April 26, 2009 Report Posted April 26, 2009 It's really exciting to think that in a little over 20 years, the little guy could be playing for Lindy Ruff... in Buffalo. Winning Buffalo's 7th cup?
Stoner Posted April 26, 2009 Report Posted April 26, 2009 Winning Buffalo's 7th cup? Sigh... I wonder what it's like to win that second Cup. Is it ho-hum?
X. Benedict Posted April 26, 2009 Report Posted April 26, 2009 Sigh... I wonder what it's like to win that second Cup. Is it ho-hum? Not sure. The 7th?, well I suspect that'll be special.

Technology has improved since then, plus, what I saw on that screen was most definitely boy parts... When we had our twin boys, we really didn't want to know. However, it was very obvious to me... I've since heard that at this point, there is only uncertainty if it looks like a girl. Your life is going to change. I marvel at how quickly my wife and I visibly aged in that first six months. I can remember using a PDA to read this board (or listen to a game, using headphones) while giving a baby a bottle... Congratulations, sir. PS- Congrats on the Mac. Mine is a little over a year old, and I still love it.

That's my daughter's birthday, so it's a good one. She loves the Bills and the Sabres *and* she was born in GA!
KD in CT Posted April 27, 2009 Report Posted April 27, 2009 Congrats Corp! Our little girl is six weeks old tomorrow -- it's just amazing; lives up to all the hype. :)
Cereal Posted April 27, 2009 Report Posted April 27, 2009 Congratulations! I long for the day when I have a little Buffalo fan of my own!
2ForTripping Posted April 27, 2009 Report Posted April 27, 2009 I became a dad on March 28th! My wife and I welcomed our daughter Cassidy to the world! Best feeling in the world. Nothing compares to it. It is awesome!!!
wjag Posted April 27, 2009 Report Posted April 27, 2009 Congratulations. Your boy will not grow up with the Buffalo sports curse. Being in the Carolinas, I suspect he is going to be a, gawd.. Canes and Panthers, fan.
