Cereal Posted April 6, 2009 Report Posted April 6, 2009 Not only Miller, the defense has to be huge, and stay away from critical mistakes....one game at a time...win tonight and let's assess from there. The biggest thing I would tell my team is this: Ensure that NOBODY outworks us, under any circumstance. And let the chips fall from there. If the Sabres do win out, they WILL get in; highly doubtful but you never know Exactly. If you give these Wings opportunities they will take them and run away with it. A 60-minute effort is essential.
LabattBlue Posted April 6, 2009 Report Posted April 6, 2009 A 60-minute effort is essential. Dreamer.
Stoner Posted April 6, 2009 Report Posted April 6, 2009 Oh good. Hope we get another one tonight They shouldn't be hard to remember. The Sabres have won only five of the last 20 meetings. One of the wins was in Detroit during the middle of the October Surprise storm Overall, the franchise has a terrific home record against the Wings -- 33-12-8. But they're only 3-6-1 in the last 10 against their winged visitors from across the Lake Erie pond. Sorry to go all Joe Beninati on ya.
johnyvegas Posted April 6, 2009 Report Posted April 6, 2009 Tons of hope here still. I don't think either Florida or NYR can get through without at least one more loss each. I can see the Rangers losing two easily. They will cerainly lose one. Same with Fla. Winning tonight is obviously a must.
johnyvegas Posted April 6, 2009 Report Posted April 6, 2009 Sorry to go all Joe Beninati on ya. That's OK. Just don't start reminding us which team is wearing which "sweaters". Joe will take care of that.. over and over and over again. Ugh.
UncleWally Posted April 6, 2009 Report Posted April 6, 2009 IF it goes to a shootout, here is an idea for Conolly http://www.totalprosports.com/blog/index.p...-shootout-goal/ That was quite original; I'd give it a 10. He turned his stick into a 60 degree lob wedge.

No way, I never would have guessed we had won that many games against them. Just seems like they rub our faces into the ice everytime we play them. Horribly depressing
VansTheMans Posted April 6, 2009 Report Posted April 6, 2009 Game of the season tonight. If they lose, it's all over. They need to bring everything they got tonight; leave it all out on the ice. If they come out flat, they're dead.
wjag Posted April 6, 2009 Report Posted April 6, 2009 Anybody notice that Ryan has a new mask? Chances galore, no joy..
wjag Posted April 6, 2009 Report Posted April 6, 2009 As much as I love the play for Buffalo, you get the feeling they better cash soon.. Detroit is taking their best punch right now. Butler gets away with a 4 minute high stick on Franzen
thesportsbuff Posted April 6, 2009 Report Posted April 6, 2009 so i thought it was a pretty decent period
wonderbread Posted April 7, 2009 Report Posted April 7, 2009 Wow I think that we got kinda jobbed on a few calls. The high stick to the mules face evened things out though.
thesportsbuff Posted April 7, 2009 Report Posted April 7, 2009 so did anyone see a bird or bat or something flying around on the TV? j/w
wjag Posted April 7, 2009 Report Posted April 7, 2009 so did anyone see a bird or bat or something flying around on the TV? j/w Thought that was a piece of paper.

JujuFish Posted April 7, 2009 Report Posted April 7, 2009 That could be the season killer right there. Let's hope not.
bottlecap Posted April 7, 2009 Report Posted April 7, 2009 it's a heroic effort but unfortunately we're gonna get shut out in our own barn, old hockey justice. this'll be the coups de grace on a season that could be described as death by a thousand cuts.
Stoner Posted April 7, 2009 Report Posted April 7, 2009 Nice slash tim. The stupidity of this team can be mind boggling.
