wjag Posted April 3, 2009 Report Posted April 3, 2009 WJAG, get busy! Sorry, my computer had a bit of a hiccup there..
Eleven Posted April 3, 2009 Report Posted April 3, 2009 Afinogenov just made the kind of move that you never see any more, unless it's made by him. Wow. I know he screws up a lot, but when he makes the right move, it's a thing of hockey beauty.
ThePebble19 Posted April 4, 2009 Report Posted April 4, 2009 I missed most of the first, all but the last 3 mins. How have we looked?
Eleven Posted April 4, 2009 Report Posted April 4, 2009 I missed most of the first, all but the last 3 mins. How have we looked? Not bad. But the refs are really starting to stink up the joint.
wjag Posted April 4, 2009 Report Posted April 4, 2009 Oh this is going to be bad.. double penalties called on same play.. so 4 on 3 and then a long 5 on 3
wjag Posted April 4, 2009 Report Posted April 4, 2009 Lydman joins Roy, and Spacek in the box... Now another very long 5 on 3
Eleven Posted April 4, 2009 Report Posted April 4, 2009 Oh this is going to be bad.. double penalties called on same play.. so 4 on 3 and then a long 5 on 3 And and and....
wjag Posted April 4, 2009 Report Posted April 4, 2009 Washington PP 4 on 3 5 on 3 5 on 3 Semin gets one... That was about as unfair a situation as I have ever seen and their still on the PP Buffalo: :worthy: :worthy: Washington: :censored: :censored:
wjag Posted April 4, 2009 Report Posted April 4, 2009 Federov from three point range.. Two goals nine seconds apart Buffalo: :worthy: :worthy: Washington: :censored: :censored: :censored:
Stoner Posted April 4, 2009 Report Posted April 4, 2009 Not bad. But the refs are really starting to stink up the joint. The refs are? Try holding this team to a higher standard. :)
FogBat Posted April 4, 2009 Report Posted April 4, 2009 Who does this pertain to? The Sabres or the On-ice Officials?
wjag Posted April 4, 2009 Report Posted April 4, 2009 Another 5 on 3 two more stupid Buffalo penalties
Saudi Arabia Rob Posted April 4, 2009 Report Posted April 4, 2009 The trips to the box have killed them this past month. Watching them now is like watching a car accident. Too bad it's not like football where at least we'd be getting a better draft pick (that counts). I also wonder how much Ruff works on clearing the puck. It seems we have more problems than most other teams. I can think of at least two goals in the past few games where they've made poor clearing passes and paid the price.
wjag Posted April 4, 2009 Report Posted April 4, 2009 Killed off the first penalty, still 5 on 4 and now killed the 5 on 3 maybe that will get them motivated
wjag Posted April 4, 2009 Report Posted April 4, 2009 Wild, Caps have essentially three 5 on 3s and Buf-Was are tied in SOGs at 20..
wjag Posted April 4, 2009 Report Posted April 4, 2009 Buffalo PP to end the second... 2 minutes left.. Being tied after two would be keen
wjag Posted April 4, 2009 Report Posted April 4, 2009 Buffalo PP richochet goal that's keen Buffalo: :worthy: :worthy: :worthy: Washington: :censored: :censored: :censored:
wjag Posted April 4, 2009 Report Posted April 4, 2009 Federov with another three pointer Buffalo: :worthy: :worthy: :worthy: Washington: :censored: :censored: :censored: :censored:
Saudi Arabia Rob Posted April 4, 2009 Report Posted April 4, 2009 Geez, the other pattern...give up a goal at the end of the period.
Eleven Posted April 4, 2009 Report Posted April 4, 2009 The refs are? Try holding this team to a higher standard. :) Nice catch, PA! But I'm not blaming the game on the refs; I'm just noting that they're screwing up.
zow2 Posted April 4, 2009 Report Posted April 4, 2009 Say it again..the Sabres just are not very good. WHen you take that many penalties, it's just lazy stuff and careless. They aren't a playoff caliber team so no sense in getting worked up over it. Miller letting in two long slappers is not that sharp tonight either.
SabresFan526 Posted April 4, 2009 Report Posted April 4, 2009 Too many penalties and one bad goal given up by Miller on the first Federov goal. He should have had it. This game is eerily similar to how the Sabres have played Ottawa and Philly this year. It's one of these situations where the Sabres defenseman will pinch to try and score a tying goal only for Washington to come back on a break and they score to close the game. Or this could be like our comeback wins that have happened recently like in Montreal and with Florida. Come on Buffalo, need to get a win tonight to stay alive.

No sense getting worked up over next year, or the year after that for that matter. What else is there to expect from the Wizard of Oz, I mean, Darcy Regier?
