Well well well, a 4 point game that means the world. LETS GO BUFFALO!

Damn, we're quick on the trigger. Let's hope the same of the Sabres tomorrow.

Well look at that, it's "the biggest game of the season" ... again.

I couldn't agree w/ you more. As I said tonight, every time Buffalo scores a goal I'm quickly slamming a beer. I am pretty toasted right now. (I drank beer between goals) The Habs know how important tomorrow night's game is. The Sabres know how important tomorrow night's game is. It all comes down to who wants it more. I hope I am flat out drunk tomorrow night. Go Sabres!!!

We ALL hope you're flat out drunk tomorrow night, if that's your program. In fact, we probably all hope you're drunk until at least mid-April, and if necessary, we'll probably start up a collection for your beer fund.

Works for me! Just don't let my wife find out where the beer funds are coming from. Here's to the Sabres and the fans! (Slamming one)

Ok, I'm done for tonight. Ready to get toasted tomorrow night.

I'll tell you what, I spend the last week in Buffalo, listening to BEN, abit of GR, but was at the Williamsville Brew Pub vs. FLA 3rd period. The tap beer selection is top shelf!!! If that's all I take from the season, so be it.

Something seems different. I can't explain it. The Sabres have exhibited something the past couple of games that seems to have been missing this season. I have no doubt they would have lost both games earlier in the season. Maybe the switch finally came on.

I think the Sabres are going to run the Habs out of the 'Faux Forum'. 5-1 Buffalo.

If the Sabres' play can turn Deluca into an optimist, then they can certainly make the playoffs!!

They are 2-0 under my optimistic posts. I plan to lead them to the playoffs.

I know its always thrown out there, but this has to be the biggest game of the season. Its all on the line tonight. A loss tonight, and its 7 points out which might as well be lights out for this year. A win and 3 points within striking distance. Back to back games doesn't help our cause in the least.

It'll be very interesting to see how things unfold tonight.

I'm still not sure if i'd rather have the team rally and get in. Probably only to be knocked out in the first round. Or have them fall to 12th in the conference, and prey that Regier wakes up.

I've pretty much turned away from supporting the team by wearing merch. I havent worn my jersey in about a month, and i never wear my sabres beanie. I took down my Vanek background last week. Its not worth the effort with this team.

I'm offering no predictions.

I myself think the biggest games of the year were already played and they came up flat in them. They shouldn't be in this position and if by some miracle they do make the playoffs, they will be totally spent from playing so hard the games of the season. No reason for this team to have to fight for their lives like they are. Why couldn't they show this two weeks ago? I still hope they make it, but let's be real here. When the door was open for them, they didn't take advantage and walk through. And Miller being hurt has nothing to do with the losses. Like Reaper said, a loss to a team above them, and it's time to get the clubs out.

Early locker cleanout day is looming again indeed.

I agree, absolutely, that they came up short when it would have been easier to keep themselves in it. Now, they are in a bad spot and I'm looking to see if they can finally learn to battle as a team.

I would say that the truth about Miller's impact is somewhere between what the Darcy is saying and what you said ("nothing to do with the losses.") Lalime and Tellqvist played well enough to win some of the games that they lost, but at the same time, not having Miller in net meant that they couldn't take certain chances that they would have or that when they took those chances and gave up rushes the other way, more than what would have ended up in the back of the net. If the team had played well or if Miller would have been in net, I believe that we would be right up with Montreal. If both had happened, they might even be up around 6th. Unfortunately, Miller got hurt and the team didn't respond, which combined for their awful recent record and their current position in 10th place. Now, they have Miller, but the team will also have to step up in order to have even a slim chance.

If they had Miller all this time, there is NO DOUBT they would be at least tied with Montreal, if not ahead by 2 or 4 points. Last night's game was proof of that. Their system relies on an above average goalie - it's built around Miller's abilities. If Lalime or any other average NHL goalie were in net last night the Leafs would have blown out the Sabres with some of those shots. It's amazing, after so much time off, to see the difference between a $1 mil a year goalie and a $5 mil a year goalie and how much more comfortable the team seems with him back there.

The problem is this team relies on Miller too much.

The key is the line of Hecht, Goose and Kaleta. It's turned into our "#1 line". Here's hoping Lindy doesn't f it up. BTW, great crowd last night at the game. Easily overpowering the GoleafsGo chants.

I think you can explain it but choose not to out of graciousness.
