spndnchz Posted March 23, 2009 Report Posted March 23, 2009 Can we get a kitty goin'? The Montreal Canadiens could be going up for sale, reports La Presse in Montreal. The newspaper, citing Canadiens president Pierre Boivin, reported on Monday owner George Gillett is considering options for many of his assets, including the legendary franchise. Hello? Ball-silly?
nobody Posted March 23, 2009 Report Posted March 23, 2009 Hello? Ball-silly? The Hamilton Canadians? :o
carpandean Posted March 23, 2009 Report Posted March 23, 2009 Jeez, if you read headlines at WGR, you might think that the owners fear the return of Ryan Miller: Miller practices; Habs for sale.
FogBat Posted March 24, 2009 Report Posted March 24, 2009 The Hamilton Canadians? :o   I can see it now: fans in Montreal would never, ever forgive the relocation of that franchise.
spndnchz Posted March 24, 2009 Author Report Posted March 24, 2009 It would be just plain stupid to move the Habs, that will never happen. They've been tops in attendance with capacity plus numbers for years. I wouldn't rule out Bal-silly to make a play for the club, but they're not going anywhere. How would anyone in their right mind pay big bucks for that club ansd not keep it somewhere where they can pay the bills?
