elcrusho Posted March 22, 2009 Report Posted March 22, 2009 Just curious... I feel sorry for anyone having to actually spend money on Sabres tickets right now...
Stoner Posted March 22, 2009 Report Posted March 22, 2009 Just curious... I feel sorry for anyone having to actually spend money on Sabres tickets right now... I'd love to know the numbers. They probably hold the fate of some folks in the front office and coaching ranks.
tom webster Posted March 22, 2009 Report Posted March 22, 2009 I made the $2,000 deposit for playoff tickets knowing that I was actually paying for next year. I did not pay the additional $1,000 deposit for next year which I needed to do to get the 5% rebate for any playoff tickets.
Foligno's Nose Posted March 23, 2009 Report Posted March 23, 2009 We are in. I split 300 Level II's with three other people. Only the 10% down for next season. No playoffs. Too much else going on this Spring even if they did make it. This is my team. There is no one else I would want to coach this team other than Ruff. Regier is a decent GM. I don't feel they were heading in a bad direction by the moves they made. They locked-up the young talent with the hope that they would compete and make the playoffs. They still can. They obviously sold themselves short on leadership. Again, I feel their plan was that the leaders would rise up with the aide of Rivet on the squad. Look how good and strong Pominville finished the 07-08 campaign. Vanek grew-up in the last year like no one else. Roy has all the potential to be more than the second-line center he actually is. The Skill could not possibly miss anymore games due to injury, right??? Teppo would return with the calming influence he brings to the team. They sold themselves on Max finding himself again. OK, They made some mistakes. They sold themselves short on the players they thought could lead this team. Lindy still has issues with the usage of his back-up goalies. Darcy sold Lindy short on the Lalime signing. I would think Lindy gets even more involved into what players the team acquires moving forward. Sooooo. They shuffle the deck quite a bit this offseason. Re-tool the line-up. Missing the playoffs is unacceptable. This year the players take the fall. Next year???...
LabattBlue Posted March 23, 2009 Report Posted March 23, 2009 I'm in for next year(and the playoffs if you believe in miracles), but will not be happy if Ruff & Regier stay and the extend of the "changes" are nothing more than replacing the UFA's with guys coming up from Portland.
spndnchz Posted March 23, 2009 Report Posted March 23, 2009 I'm in. :wallbash: I sell some and some friends take some, so it's not the money but the product on the ice. I too will be disappointed if we don't get some leadership on this team over the summer. My knees are getting sore from taking it these past two years. :chris:
carpandean Posted March 23, 2009 Report Posted March 23, 2009 My knees are getting sore from taking it these past two years. :chris: OK ... but how do feel about the Sabres? :nana:
spndnchz Posted March 23, 2009 Report Posted March 23, 2009 OK ... but how do feel about the Sabres? :nana: My ars hurts too. :nana:
spndnchz Posted March 23, 2009 Report Posted March 23, 2009 Looked at some attendance numbers today. The Sabres have gone from 12th overall to 8th to 2nd over the past three years and now are back down to tenth in the league for attendance. Hello? Larry?

The Sabres have gone from 12th overall to 8th to 2nd over the past three years and now are back down to tenth in the league for attendance. Hello? Larry? Still in the top 3rd of the league? That still makes Larry happy; I'm sure.
spndnchz Posted March 23, 2009 Report Posted March 23, 2009 Still in the top 3rd of the league? That still makes Larry happy; I'm sure. Probably. I read somewhere that he admits to making a mistake by adding the "Platinum" level for some teams coming into HSBC. Seems they made the same amount of money in ticket sales for those games but were left with 1,000 or so seats empty I don't know what the average is but I spend at least $30 going to a game and sometimes double that. To LQ that's money left on the table.

The fact is even when your team loses you should remain a steadfast fan, trust me there are more bad times then good times in sports. And as fans we should know this. So while our frustration level goes up, hold it, embrace it, and then let it all go when we do finally win, it will feel that much better!
