nobody Posted March 23, 2009 Report Posted March 23, 2009 The "best" I see the Sabres getting is 6th pick in the draft.
carpandean Posted March 23, 2009 Report Posted March 23, 2009 The "best" I see the Sabres getting is 6th pick in the draft. Don't forget that any team can move up as much as 4 spots in the draft due to the Lottery. So, getting the 6th spot (which I agree is the lowest starting spot that they can get) means that they draft anywhere from 2nd to 10th. 2nd gets you 6'6", 200 lbs, fluid skating defenseman Victor Hedman. Dare to dream. Of course, with our luck, they'll either put together a run and finish just out of the playoffs again or they will get down to 6th, then have bad luck in the lottery and end up drafting 10th. BTW, mynhldraft.com has updated their mock draft with the current standings. Now, we're taking 6'1", 195 lbs, offensive defensman (12G, 50A in 57 GP this season) Dmitry Kulikov. Realistically, Darcy would probably take 5'08" Jordon Schroeder, who is slated to go 12th in that draft.
