connee Posted March 18, 2009 Report Posted March 18, 2009 I'm not putting the Sabres organization down---I've watched them since game 1. But those were the old days. Hate to say it, but with the economy, our diminished city, and the total #&!@# up job the NHL has done in mismanaging their league, it is no longer feasible for Buffalo to have a team, unless you're willing to be the Pittsburgh Pirates of the NHL. And if you are, don't complain about it. It just isn't doable any longer. Ruff is a terrific coach. It's mind boggling that this awful collection of players (excepting Vanek) is even close to a playoff spot. I keep hearing people say "they are losing to the bad teams". They are one of the bad teams!!!! But again, you saw what happened, the team had to dismantle, and will do so again. The NHL is insane. Acting like it's a major league on par with the NFL, giving players $6 Million salaries with no major TV contract to pay for it. Expansion is a failure. The NHL was awesome when it was a regional sport that knew its place. Ruff should quit after the season and go to a big market that can afford players who can play.

Kristian Posted March 18, 2009 Report Posted March 18, 2009 if i was lindy i'd be counting the says until i could get away from quinn-regier-golisano. If I were him, I'd be wishing to get away from the so-called players first.
blugold43 Posted March 19, 2009 Report Posted March 19, 2009 who do you think handed him this p.o.s. roster?
Kristian Posted March 19, 2009 Report Posted March 19, 2009 who do you think handed him this p.o.s. roster? No doubt it's a close race of who makes him want to throw up the most, but i still go with the players.
