carpandean Posted March 4, 2009 Report Posted March 4, 2009 Mikael Tellqvist For a fourth-round draft pick per TSN.
zow2 Posted March 4, 2009 Report Posted March 4, 2009 Here's a link http://blogs.buffalonews.com/sabres/2009/0...-tellqvist.html
wonderbread Posted March 4, 2009 Report Posted March 4, 2009 thanks for the link. That should placate the Portland fans.
SabresFan526 Posted March 4, 2009 Report Posted March 4, 2009 TSN Reporting Buffalo trades with Phoenix and Tellqvist coming to Buffalo. Don't know who's going from Buffalo.
Two or less Posted March 4, 2009 Report Posted March 4, 2009 Not bad. He is a decent backup and you gotta think Miller has to be doing ok. Enroth back to Portland....
darksabre Posted March 4, 2009 Report Posted March 4, 2009 Okay, now we're making progress. Now do something even more useful.
shrader Posted March 4, 2009 Report Posted March 4, 2009 Not bad. He is a decent backup and you gotta think Miller has to be doing ok. Enroth back to Portland.... And hopefully Tellqvist will be joining Enroth shortly.
TheMadCap Posted March 4, 2009 Report Posted March 4, 2009 He's not a bad goalie. At least insurance for Lalime until Miller gets back...
... Posted March 4, 2009 Report Posted March 4, 2009 Not bad. He is a decent backup and you gotta think Miller has to be doing ok. Enroth back to Portland.... Miller may be doing okay, but this says to me they want to protect their investment in Miller and keep him out as long as they can so he heals completely.
Spudz Posted March 4, 2009 Report Posted March 4, 2009 Miller may be doing okay, but this says to me they want to protect their investment in Miller and keep him out as long as they can so he heals completely. He can rest during the playoffs as well if they think that way. Lalime has been holding his ground, but he's not Miller.
carpandean Posted March 4, 2009 Author Report Posted March 4, 2009 TSN guys think that he will take the starting job from Lalime after tonight's game.
shrader Posted March 4, 2009 Report Posted March 4, 2009 TSN guys think that he will take the starting job from Lalime after tonight's game. Was anyone other than Pang talking about him though? He works on the Phoenix broadcasts. Ray, he's an UFA after this season.
tulax Posted March 4, 2009 Report Posted March 4, 2009 Was anyone other than Pang talking about him though? He works on the Phoenix broadcasts. Maguire thought it was a good trade. He also thought the Connolly deal was a good deal, though.
VansTheMans Posted March 4, 2009 Report Posted March 4, 2009 Well, turns out the Marty Biron/Phoenix talks had some merit to them. Phoenix indeed was in talks with Buffalo. Now the question is, does this trade die here? Or is Tellqvist going to be a quick flip to make a play for Biron in Philly?
NowDoYouBelieve Posted March 4, 2009 Report Posted March 4, 2009 TSN guys think that he will take the starting job from Lalime after tonight's game. Why? Lalime's been fine. 2.00 GAA over the last 3 games...not his fault he's getting the losses piled on.
shrader Posted March 4, 2009 Report Posted March 4, 2009 Maguire thought it was a good trade. He also thought the Connolly deal was a good deal, though. Yeah, I was under the impression that he was talking more about the Connolly deal. But yes, Tellqvist does help. We gave up very little and it fills a big need for this organization right now.

VansTheMans Posted March 4, 2009 Report Posted March 4, 2009 Now THAT would be interesting. What makes it even more interesting is that WGR is now reporting Teppo is back in the line up for tonights game, meaning one of the dman currently up wont be playing tonight. Could that mean Tallinder wont be playing because we are about to ship him and Tellqvist out to get Marty Biron? Makes alot of sense
