Now if Connolly would like to settle my mind a bit by leading this team to the playoffs, I'll have no complaints about that.

The Sabres have a healthy Tim Connolly now and they are far from being a serious contender. Tim Connolly doesn't make this team a contender over the next two season even if he stays healthy. This team needs a overhaul and a heart transplant. The Sabres front office is too much in love with themselves and their players to do whats needed to turn this ship around.

It probably would come through a trade or draft day move though.

 

The only way they can add a center of any value is if they find takers for Hecht and Tallinder. As of now, if they pay Stafford and Sekera $2.5 million each and fill the rest of the roster with rookie minimum contracts, they will be at around $56 million next year.

Exactly? No, never said I did. I do know what I watch now isn't good enough. Since I am not in love with the players like Regier is I can be a tad more objective.
