BamBam Posted March 1, 2009 Report Posted March 1, 2009 TSN.CA: Darren Dreger tonight reports Phoenix Coyotes defenseman Derek Morris has given management a list of Western Conference team he?d be willing to lift his no-trade clause to join. Morris won?t be playing tonight against the St. Louis Blue to avoid an injury that could jeopardize a trade. SPECTOR?S NOTE: So much for the talk of Morris being dealt to an Eastern team. It appears now the odds are good he?ll be moving by deadline day. TSN.CA Morris Story
Two or less Posted March 1, 2009 Report Posted March 1, 2009 He was one guy i did hope to get. Oh well. There's plenty of guys available who are as good if not better if we open the gates to some of our better prospects.... Gerbe, 1st round pick and TJ Brennen come to mind.
carpandean Posted March 1, 2009 Report Posted March 1, 2009 I liked the idea of having Morris here, but he's also an UFA at the end of the summer and we really shouldn't be renting. There is one other player in Phoenix that I'd like and he has another year on his contract ...
carpandean Posted March 1, 2009 Report Posted March 1, 2009 Would you be referring to Jokinen Maybe ...
BamBam Posted March 1, 2009 Author Report Posted March 1, 2009 Maybe ... Haha... Talk out here in Phoenix is that he is as good as gone to a east coast team, while Morris will be going to a West Contender.
NavySabre Posted March 4, 2009 Report Posted March 4, 2009 Well, he stayed west of the Atlantic Ocean.
EZC-Boston Posted March 4, 2009 Report Posted March 4, 2009 they just said he has one power play assist this year, pretty solid...
