Claude_Verret Posted February 24, 2009 Report Posted February 24, 2009 Well it took a long time for the Sabres to visit the land of NASCAR and college hoops this season, but they will finally come on Thursday. Needless to say this will be a huge contest. Who is in?

Kristian Posted February 24, 2009 Report Posted February 24, 2009 +1 for the thread title. That one never gets old
RayFinkle Posted February 24, 2009 Report Posted February 24, 2009 Got my tickets a couple of months ago...
shrader Posted February 24, 2009 Report Posted February 24, 2009 +1 for the thread title. That one never gets old  But again he forgot about the baby eating.
Kristian Posted February 24, 2009 Report Posted February 24, 2009 But again he forgot about the baby eating. True, and the burning down of the churches in the area surrounding the arena.
Cereal Posted February 24, 2009 Report Posted February 24, 2009 I'll be there! Flying in from Pittsburgh to visit former roommate and see he Sabres. I don't think we have tickets yet actually.
Assquatch Posted February 24, 2009 Report Posted February 24, 2009 True, and the burning down of the churches in the area surrounding the arena. Just the ones near the arena? ( :) )
Hirly5 Posted February 24, 2009 Report Posted February 24, 2009 If the game was on the weekend, I would be there. I think the NHL schedules these games during the week on purpose so fewer Sabres fans can attend. Damn you Gary Bettman.
Realist Posted February 24, 2009 Report Posted February 24, 2009 I'll be there in a box with about 10 other Sabres Fans.

Hmm yeah, we were looking on craigslist for decent tickets this week, but only found what appeared to be a couple pairs of good seats on there... are you suggesting just getting cheap tickets and then go sit in the empties after 1st intermission? ;) Edit: Where is the best place to get tickets at this point in time? Thanks!

If it was a weekend game, I would make the drive over along with at least 10 other people.

Thanks! A scalper at the game. You should get good lower level seats under face value. You can't buy upper level seats and move down though, they are vigilant about checking your ticket before entering either the lower level and club seating areas. Also for anyone who goes to other NHL arenas I have always meant to ask about this. Do other arenas make you pass through a metal detector before entering? I always found it odd that they did this at the RBC center.

scottnc Posted February 24, 2009 Report Posted February 24, 2009 True, and the burning down of the churches in the area surrounding the arena. Every time raping and pillaging in Raleigh is brought up, it reminds me of this classic from the Onion after the 'Canes won the cup: Linky
bills_fan_in_raleigh Posted February 25, 2009 Report Posted February 25, 2009 I'll be there in a box with about 10 other Sabres Fans. so is that an open invite to others??? Will be there
eball Posted February 25, 2009 Report Posted February 25, 2009 Of course I'll be there. First row section 204, Miller 3rd jersey. I hope to dangle some babies over the railing after I molest their mothers.

I believe after 9/11 that became standard at every arena, ballpark and concert hall in America.

TheMadCap Posted February 25, 2009 Report Posted February 25, 2009 Me, the wifey, pops and my brother will be in the handicap row of section 311. Bought our tix in September...

I've never seen a metal detector at Jacobs Field, but I do see them at The Q.
Patty16 Posted February 25, 2009 Report Posted February 25, 2009 Was there a few years ago, they even passed out a code of conduct sheet to anyone wearing buffalo gear. All in all the most rude fans and STAFF i have ever experienced. The security personnel wouldnt let us down to the boards for pregame by the sabres end, but were letting canes fans without tickets down. awful awful will never go there again.

It's one thing for Sabres and Canes fans to do some jaw jacking back and forth, but the staff at RBC are in general not very friendly towards Sabres fans. Sabres fans really got under their skin and they certainly haven't forgotten. I guess I shouldn't be surprised, we as sabres fans are hideous monsters after all; bent on destruction and mayhem. Lock up the women and children! <_< For those of you going to the game keep track of all the cheap shots taken at Buffalo and sabres fans on the scoreboard. I have been there to watch other teams play the canes and this doesn't happen.

It was the staff, from the ticket taker to ushers, beer people, all such A holes. I was with my family too. Just totally uncalled for. Granted i must say there were some nice canes fans who actually apologized for the behavior they witnessed that was directed towards us.
