wonderbread Posted March 4, 2009 Author Report Posted March 4, 2009 To Rangers: Nik Antropov To Toronto: TBA meh.
RayFinkle Posted March 4, 2009 Report Posted March 4, 2009 Is it just me, or does Darcy tell us every year how the market place is much diferent than it had been in the past. Then he'll make a low impact trade, just to justify that he did something. Different year, same sh-t.

sven233 Posted March 4, 2009 Report Posted March 4, 2009 Tellqvist..... Almost Bob Corkum all over again!!! HA! Not quite as bad, but man, this team needed someone to put the puck in the net...
BuffalOhio Posted March 4, 2009 Report Posted March 4, 2009 Tellqvist..... Almost Bob Corkum all over again!!! HA! Not quite as bad, but man, this team needed someone to put the puck in the net... They have that guy; his name is Thomas Vanek. That's what we've got.
RayFinkle Posted March 4, 2009 Report Posted March 4, 2009 I'll wait until about 4:00 before I will make any definitive statements ... Prove me wrong Darcy. I'l happily eat a plate of crow. Sadly, I won't have to.
Bmwolf21 Posted March 4, 2009 Report Posted March 4, 2009 This is like waking up Christmas morning and finding an old pair of your own sneakers under the tree, right next to a huge pile of dog crap. Awesome.
shrader Posted March 4, 2009 Report Posted March 4, 2009 Is it just me, or does Darcy tell us every year how the market place is much diferent than it had been in the past. Then he'll make a low impact trade, just to justify that he did something. Different year, same sh-t. It's still a bit early, but I'd say that the market was definitely different this year. Just look at the overall lack of motion around the league. I reserve the right to retract this post if a lot of deals are announced late. edit: And how in the hell do the Rangers have any space to add players?
sven233 Posted March 4, 2009 Report Posted March 4, 2009 They have that guy; his name is Thomas Vanek. That's what we've got. So true.....We have 1 natural goal scorrer and a bunch of other guys that find a nut once in a while...... Somehow the Sabres think that is good enough. Oh well....Max is back in tonight. He will lead us back to the playoffs!
carpandean Posted March 4, 2009 Report Posted March 4, 2009 To Rangers: Derek Morris To Phoenix: Dmitri Kalinin, NigelDi Dawes and Peter Prucha

And as soon as our fastest-skating squirrel finds his nut(s) there will be a handful of "I-told-you-so" posters running to their keyboards.
carpandean Posted March 4, 2009 Report Posted March 4, 2009 Bouwmeester officially not going anywhere.
sven233 Posted March 4, 2009 Report Posted March 4, 2009 And as soon as our fastest-skating squirrel finds his nut(s) there will be a handful of "I-told-you-so" running to their keyboards. Yeah!!!! Exciting time to be a Sabres fan!!!!
X. Benedict Posted March 4, 2009 Report Posted March 4, 2009 To Rangers: Derek Morris To Phoenix: Kalin, Dawes and Prucha Kalinin, Dawes and Prucha... I think that is a good trade for both teams... Although...losing Dawes and Prucha is a lot to pay.... But Morris is the kind of guy that NY needs.
carpandean Posted March 4, 2009 Report Posted March 4, 2009 To Rangers: Derek Morris To Phoenix: Dmitri Kalinin, NigelDi Dawes and Peter Prucha Updated the TBA to Phoenix. Bye Tri!

But Morris is the kind of guy that NY needs. I wonder how they managed to pawn Kalinin off on them. Was Phoenix inching down close to the floor and needed to add a salary?
shrader Posted March 4, 2009 Report Posted March 4, 2009 TSN has us picking up Dominic Moore for a 2nd round pick.
sven233 Posted March 4, 2009 Report Posted March 4, 2009 TSN has us picking up Dominic Moore for a 2nd round pick. Yeah....I see that Not bad...
SDS Posted March 4, 2009 Report Posted March 4, 2009 Yeah....I see that Not bad... Actually, didn't you give up your right to say "not bad" when you came on pissing and moaning that nothing was done before the deadline has officially passed?
shrader Posted March 4, 2009 Report Posted March 4, 2009 I guess the Buffalo teams really like these Harvard guys lately.
sven233 Posted March 4, 2009 Report Posted March 4, 2009 Moore is probably a rental, but who knows... A 2nd is a a lot to give up for a guy that isn't signed past this year, so there is a chance that he could sign an extension at a later date. Who knows. Decent player.
X. Benedict Posted March 4, 2009 Report Posted March 4, 2009 TSN has us picking up Dominic Moore for a 2nd round pick. I think that is a lot to pay for a guy that could have been had for free about a year ago. But he can give a regular shift and always liked his skills.
sven233 Posted March 4, 2009 Report Posted March 4, 2009 Actually, didn't you give up your right to say "not bad" when you came on pissing and moaning that nothing was done before the deadline has officially passed? I wasn't complaining... Just joking around. There were not too many guys out there that I wanted anyway. I want to be clear that I was actually happy just signing Connolly. I think he was that important.
