I can't refute it and I honestly hope it's true, but he's got a long way to go.

Ok. I still think he has a long way to go. You and 'NowDoYouBelieve' are the most optimistic, Blue and Gold colored glasses wearing Sabres fans on this board. You had to wrestle those glasses away from Vanek-Man but you are proudly wearing them now.

I'm just telling it like I see it. Gerbe is physically outmatched in every phase of the game. He may one day learn the nuances a player of his size needs to succeed in the NHL but for the time being he isn't there. EVERY single time he went to the boards last night, he was knocked of the puck, by the Leafs defense no less. He's just not ready.

Wait, the world isn't ACTUALLY colored blue and gold? I have to get my eyes checked out.

While some of us apparently do think we are going to get hit by a bus every morning, others of us seemingly think we are going to receive oral sex from our hot neighbor every morning.

I'm still in search of a hot neighbor, so take a wild guess which person I am.

I miss the good old days when Vanek-Man still wore the B&G colored glasses. He's so much more cynical now.

He has his moments though. Just mention Tyler Ennis, Paul Byron, or Luke Adam and see where the conversation goes. That's why Vanek-Man can be a pretty funny read from time to time. His opinion of certain prospects is through the roof, but then he also has very different thoughts for guys already in the system like Mancari. It's almost like once he gets a closer (more frequent) view of players, boom, the switch is flipped.
