wjag Posted February 18, 2009 Report Posted February 18, 2009 No, he said on deadline day he usually has little movement, BUT this year he expects to be busy. Don't recall any outlandish statement about everyone being for sale. The only outlandish statement he made was 10 first rounders for Schenn. She definitely asked him after his stance on Kaberle and he did say that everyone has a price, so to speak.
FogBat Posted February 21, 2009 Report Posted February 21, 2009 I can't see DR dealing with Toronto. Just not his style. Darcy deals with west coast teams most of the time right? Now you add Brian Burke to the equation...I doubt he is going to let someone get over on him in a trade. Yeah. I don't think Darcy wants to do a "Kevin Lowe" on Brian Burke. Future Battles of Lake Ontario could escalate into a full-blown war. BTW, for those of you who listen to NHL Home Ice on Sirius XM, have any of you noticed that Eklund isn't on there anymore? Or does he come on at some time that I don't know about? Maybe there were enough hockey fans out there who complained about him to where they terminated their contract with him. IDK.
buftex Posted February 21, 2009 Report Posted February 21, 2009 Sorry, not as up as most of you on the comings and goings all around the leauge. But, while looking over some league sites, I read somewhere that it isn't out of the question that Chris Drury might be had by someone, if interested, and is expendable. They mentioned Drury as being "disappointing", and the Rangers bringing Steve Avery back wouldn't likely sit well with Drury, who is not a big fan. Then, I saw on another that, amongst players the Rangers are rumored to be interested during trade season (albeit there are about a dozen listed) are Maxim Afenigenov and Ales Kotalik... just sayin! Anyone think there is any possibiltiy Drury could end up back with the Sabres?
inkman Posted February 21, 2009 Report Posted February 21, 2009 Drury could end up back with the Sabres? If he was all bent out of shape by the way his contract negotiations were handled, why would he want to come back. He's also not a 7 million dollar a year hockey player, especially for OSP.

inkman Posted February 22, 2009 Report Posted February 22, 2009 Our Players? Funny but given the fact that you don't come here very often. Old Sugar Packets ..as in, you can find Tom Golisano perusing various food establishments, snatching up as many sugar packets as possible because he's a cheap old Coot.
