That Aud Smell Posted February 13, 2009 Report Posted February 13, 2009 linkelstilsken. i've always been partial to kool moe dee, so the call at ~3:33 is a fave.
carpandean Posted February 13, 2009 Report Posted February 13, 2009 Definitely a lot better than most. I am completely biased, so nobody will ever top RJ, however, he does have some original calls and doesn't screech (high-pitched scream) his "GOOOOOAL" like most do.
wjag Posted February 14, 2009 Report Posted February 14, 2009 "Make me a bicycle clown!!" ????? "she blinded me with science" ???? "we've landed on the moon" ???? "who's your daddy and what does he do?" ???? "come with me if you want to live" ??? "get off my lawn" ???? "I go to work like a doctor" ???? Proof positive of synaptic misfires or incorrect wiring of his brain... Exactly what does "Make me a bicycle clown" mean in this context?
BamBam Posted February 14, 2009 Report Posted February 14, 2009 linkelstilsken. i've always been partial to kool moe dee, so the call at ~3:33 is a fave. That was frigging funny! Very Entertaining Where was that personality when he played with Buffalo?
Two or less Posted February 14, 2009 Report Posted February 14, 2009 "Pour some sugar on me"? "Run forest Run" WTF. This guy is awful. Sounds like he should apply to be the play by play guy for Brockport or something.
Stoner Posted February 15, 2009 Report Posted February 15, 2009 Mildly entertaining, but imagine if you're a real fan of the Panthers. That would wear on you in a hurry. He's putting his stupid expressions above his first job -- tell the fans what happened.
fushetti Posted February 15, 2009 Report Posted February 15, 2009 I heard him call the first period of the recent sabres/panthers game (got the home feed on Sirius/XM) I thought he was god awful. I couldn't follow the game. I know i'm extremely biased toward RJ...but God we have it made.
el_Polako Posted February 15, 2009 Report Posted February 15, 2009 I'm sure their is a bit more to it behind the scene on why he throws in totally random movie quotes...
Buffalo Fan Posted February 19, 2009 Report Posted February 19, 2009 Mildly entertaining, but imagine if you're a real fan of the Panthers. That would wear on you in a hurry. He's putting his stupid expressions above his first job -- tell the fans what happened. Actually, it was from a radio show that he did with Dan LeBatard where fans would e-mail in favorite sayings from pop culture and he would work them into his goal calls...I thought it was really cool...but even without it, I think Randy is exciting to listen to. No one that I've heard is as creative as RJ with the original stuff...
LabattBlue Posted February 19, 2009 Report Posted February 19, 2009 I'm really feeling old and out of it because except for 3 or 4, I wouldn't even know where most of the so called pop culture references he used were form.
NowDoYouBelieve Posted February 19, 2009 Report Posted February 19, 2009 Ok Randy, I get it, you know some quotes from movies. This is an example of an announcer who is more interested in himself than the team and the fans.
