bills_fan_in_raleigh Posted February 12, 2009 Report Posted February 12, 2009 we need to score on this we have 6 min Power play
ExiledInIllinois Posted February 12, 2009 Report Posted February 12, 2009 Unfreaking real... Come on dudes!
R_Dudley Posted February 12, 2009 Report Posted February 12, 2009 I shoulda known better just when I really start to think this team is coming on and they pull me in they go ahead and play like this, at home, and again against these Sens no less. :bag: They need to start getting pucks on net and driving the net. They have done one 2 many passes already on several earlier power plays and shinny ain't going to cut it. :chris:
SabreInFla Posted February 12, 2009 Report Posted February 12, 2009 We absolutely suck tonight......this is the type of game that will cause us to miss the playoffs.
ExiledInIllinois Posted February 12, 2009 Report Posted February 12, 2009 4-4 for awhile before they go back to the PP...
Chief Enabler Posted February 12, 2009 Report Posted February 12, 2009 Any chance Patty can loan Vanek his custom cage for awhile?
ROC Sabres Posted February 12, 2009 Report Posted February 12, 2009 Any chance Patty can loan Vanek his custom cage for awhile? Any chance we can score some goals for a while?
R_Dudley Posted February 12, 2009 Report Posted February 12, 2009 We absolutely suck tonight......this is the type of game that will cause us to miss the playoffs. Agreed, They need to play for pride and if nothing else the next game. I watched Florida come back at home against TO last night down 4-1 in the 3rd with 12 minutes left and win 5-4 in OT. If we do not start playing like that now win or lose the other teams behind us playing like that we'll soon be looking at in front of us in the EAST ...
ExiledInIllinois Posted February 12, 2009 Report Posted February 12, 2009 This is an incredibly BIG game standingwise... I don't think they know it? FLA plays CAR tommorrow (2-12). :wallbash: :wallbash:
thesportsbuff Posted February 12, 2009 Report Posted February 12, 2009 so uh. maybe Miller is tired, eh? also gerbe hasn't been real impressive tonight. and who's teaching him how to handle breakaways, Derek Roy?
McJeff215 Posted February 12, 2009 Report Posted February 12, 2009 We absolutely suck tonight......this is the type of game that will cause us to miss the playoffs. Dead on. This is not the kind of game I like to see this time of year. That, and is it just me, or do the Sens really have a freaking aggressive forecheck going on?

ExiledInIllinois Posted February 12, 2009 Report Posted February 12, 2009 Well another PP... If there is anyway they come back, they can get it going in the 3rd EARLY!
SabresFan526 Posted February 12, 2009 Report Posted February 12, 2009 What is it about the Sens that make them impossible for the Sabres to beat? Why can't the Sabres ever beat the Senators? This is so ridiculously frustrating. Kaleta keeps giving this team a chance to score a PP goal every time he's on the ice, and absolutely nothing! This is ridiculous!
Chief Enabler Posted February 12, 2009 Report Posted February 12, 2009 Well another PP... If there is anyway they come back, they can get it going in the 3rd EARLY! Its amazing how much Kaleta generates, he should lead the team in ice time....
ExiledInIllinois Posted February 12, 2009 Report Posted February 12, 2009 Its amazing how much Kaleta generates, he should lead the team in ice time.... What we need now is for Lindy to be drawing something up on the dry erase and generate a score off the 3rd period opening face-off!
RayFinkle Posted February 12, 2009 Report Posted February 12, 2009 Nobody in front.....sad. Somebody might want to wake Darcy up and let him know that there is a month of hockey to play before the playoffs and we are on the bubble.
ROC Sabres Posted February 12, 2009 Report Posted February 12, 2009 Nobody in front.....sad. Somebody might want to wake Darcy up and let him know that there is a month of hockey to play before the playoffs and we are on the bubble. Darcy: I'm confident with what we have and unless an offer comes in that blows us away, we are sticking with our core players
thesportsbuff Posted February 12, 2009 Report Posted February 12, 2009 good thing our nice strong improved defense is still letting these people get away with running miller!
ExiledInIllinois Posted February 12, 2009 Report Posted February 12, 2009 Come on 5 on 3 get one fast one and another and the Sabres at least have a chance!!!
ThePebble19 Posted February 12, 2009 Report Posted February 12, 2009 We have done nothing but beat ourselves tonight...Ottawa is doing not much more than I expected from them. 1 goal that was an interference, and a softee. We should have been only one down in this game. Noone skates for this team. The ONLY one I see out there that seems to care at all is Gerbe...and unfortunately, I don't think he's quite ready for this level yet. As I'm typing this, here comes a Kotalik Goal. Fudge. This game should be tied...or at least within one.
ExiledInIllinois Posted February 12, 2009 Report Posted February 12, 2009 Come on 5 on 3 get one fast one and another and the Sabres at least have a chance!!! Bump! Will the other 1/2 of my prophecy come true? Nope... Good guys: B-) Bad guys: :death: :death: :death: It is a start!!!!

His breakaway shot was pretty weak, I've seen him turn it over in the offensive zone two or three times, one of which was a pretty dumb no-look backhander to the front of the net while the other forwards were in the corners -- could have been pretty dangerous. His passing and shots on the powerplay were a little questionable too. But I might just be being over critical because I want him to be good.

I completely agree with this, I was just saying that he was skating hard. Unfortunately, his skill set is just not quite there yet. The AHL is a much slower animal than the NHL. He's not twice as fast as everyone up here. Just ask Alex Giroux. The guy is a goals machine for Hershey, and completely blows every time he gets called up.
