Corp000085 Posted March 4, 2006 Report Posted March 4, 2006 well, lets see what they can do on the first of many back to back games before the playoffs start
bob_sauve28 Posted March 4, 2006 Report Posted March 4, 2006 well, lets see what they can do on the first of many back to back games before the playoffs start No kidding! In case anyone hasn't looked at the schedule, here it is... http://sports.yahoo.com/nhl/teams/buf/schedule Brutal!
Hawk Posted March 4, 2006 Report Posted March 4, 2006 All teams have an equally gruelling schedule. Look for the holding and hooking penalties to be on the rise as the month progresses, and players get tired. Teams that have the best special teams over the next month will prevail.

I'm looking for the Flyers to really fade down the stretch. They are old and slow and this schedule will kill them
GrimFandango Posted March 4, 2006 Report Posted March 4, 2006 Big night tonight. Sabres can pick up some points and keep a game in hand on all the important ones tonight (Car, Phi, NYR, OTT). I wonder what the vegas odds would be for all four teams to lose and a Sabres win.
LabattBlue Posted March 4, 2006 Report Posted March 4, 2006 First of 5 games agaist Boston this month. Set the tone in this one by showing them who the superior team is. Buffalo 3 Boston 1
shrader Posted March 4, 2006 Report Posted March 4, 2006 If they're serious about getting both goalies some playing time, Biron has to play tonight. I don't expect him to get the start, but its something to think about.

I don't expect him to get the start, but its something to think about. You have to play miller on the road tonight. This is a tough divisional road game, coming off of an emotional victory against the laffs. IF this game doesn't put hair on your chest, you are a girl, ryan miller. Miller needs to be prepped for the playoffs, and this game is a good benchmark. I am in agreement with you about biron getting some quality time though. If they're going to showcase him, play marty on tuesday and/or thursday against the bruins or lightning, respectively, at home. Thataway miller will be ready to go against philly in the matinee next weekend (which hopefully will be on nbc... let me check the listings now!)
Guest sabre31_98 Posted March 4, 2006 Report Posted March 4, 2006 Biron gets the start tonight. It was announced earlier this afternoon. Good to showcase him before the deadline.
hopeleslyobvious Posted March 4, 2006 Report Posted March 4, 2006 Biron gets the start tonight. It was announced earlier this afternoon. Good to showcase him before the deadline. Where was it announced? Just because of the scheduling this month, I would start Biron once in every back to back. Although I am a bit concerned that he hasn't won since his streak ended. Speaking of scheduling...who was the genius that made the schedule. It would seem like a much better idea to schedule tonight's game in Buffalo, and Tuesday's in Boston. Boston didn't play last night, so they could have used yesterday as a travel day. Both teams don't play again until Tuesday, and the Celtics are on the road Tuesday. But what do I know.
LabattBlue Posted March 4, 2006 Report Posted March 4, 2006 Where was it announced? The guys on WGR earlier this afternoon said they spoke with Paul Hamilton who said that Marty was getting the start tonight.
bob_sauve28 Posted March 4, 2006 Report Posted March 4, 2006 The guys on WGR earlier this afternoon said they spoke with Paul Hamilton who said that Marty was getting the start tonight. Oh no. Think how much is riding on this. He is rusty and if he let's in five goals his trade value drops again.
shrader Posted March 4, 2006 Report Posted March 4, 2006 Good, now I can wear the Biron jersey in Boston tonight. I still have to decide whether I'm going to the BU game (already have a ticket) or the Sabres game (don't have a ticket) tonight.
Guest Guest Posted March 4, 2006 Report Posted March 4, 2006 has anyone confirmed that Biron is starting?
bob_sauve28 Posted March 5, 2006 Report Posted March 5, 2006 has anyone confirmed that Biron is starting? Yes, he is starting
sabre31_98 Posted March 5, 2006 Report Posted March 5, 2006 Great. I have to watch the game on the sh---y NESN feed... Back to back crappy telecasts.
Guest Guest Posted March 5, 2006 Report Posted March 5, 2006 bob sauve28 thanks! Go sabers. sean in Calif.
Corp000085 Posted March 5, 2006 Report Posted March 5, 2006 rene rancourt looks very familiar... how so? He's no doug allen by the way... ugh. i hate nesn... crappy camerawork, bad picture on my tv... stupid boston accents... at least there's no glowing puck or cartoonish hockey player robots.
sabre31_98 Posted March 5, 2006 Report Posted March 5, 2006 not looking too good right now. this could be an ugly night.
Corp000085 Posted March 5, 2006 Report Posted March 5, 2006 not looking too good right now. this could be an ugly night. i was thinking the exact same thing and for god's sake, it's Biron, not BEEron
sabre31_98 Posted March 5, 2006 Report Posted March 5, 2006 I better go to Blockbuster. I may need a backup to watch tonight...
Eleven Posted March 5, 2006 Report Posted March 5, 2006 Biron is being hung out to dry so far. Better hope there aren't too many scouts watching.
