I didn?t arrive til 5:30am ? the day was just as advertised for the Portland Pirates as the prepared for tomorrow?s game against the Albany River Rats at the home of the Pirates? NHL parent club, the Buffalo Sabres. There was an excitement in the air at the arena. It was nothing more than a simple practice, but the local media showed up in droves as all the television and print media was on hand to check out possible future Sabres, making it anything, but normal.
