LabattBlue Posted February 9, 2009 Report Posted February 9, 2009 Great calls on Cavages and Child World.
nobody Posted February 9, 2009 Report Posted February 9, 2009 OMG you are kidding me...Cavages??!! I don't think I've heard that word in 30 years at least. Sheesh. Used to be THE place to go before Record Theatre went in on Main. Remember that place??? I had never see so many ALBUMS in my life. Yeah, thats right... I said ALBUMS. I still call them that. My kids are like: "Mommmmmm....." complete with the eye roll. Vinyl albums are actually back in style again for audiophiles.
nobody Posted February 9, 2009 Report Posted February 9, 2009 I remember eating at the RED BARN. The Red Barn tribute site
Eric in Akron Posted February 9, 2009 Report Posted February 9, 2009 Great calls on Cavages and Child World. I used to waste some time at the Child World that was attached to the old Thruway Mall.
Eleven Posted February 9, 2009 Report Posted February 9, 2009 Great calls on Cavages and Child World. Child World! and Brand Names. Vinyl never went out of style, as far as I'm concerned. I always liked National Record Mart--it was a little bigger than Cavages. Anyone remember the "smiley" Labatt bottle caps? (No, I wasn't old enough to drink back then. But I was young enough to think that collecting bottle caps was a rewarding hobby.)
LabattBlue Posted February 9, 2009 Report Posted February 9, 2009 A couple more... Media Play(Wherle & Transit) was AWESOME when it first opened, but by the time they went under, the store was a shell of its former self. Lechmere's and now Steve and Barry's from the same space at the Galleria Mall.
cdexchange Posted February 10, 2009 Report Posted February 10, 2009 The Red Barn tribute site That was awesome, thanks!
