repster Posted February 8, 2009 Report Posted February 8, 2009 Ottawa PP 2 for their last 23, make that 3 for their last 24....
R_Dudley Posted February 8, 2009 Report Posted February 8, 2009 So Ruutu is allowed to throw an elbow on Mair and when he retaliates he gets the penalty , Nice... And Hecht deflects it to foligno for a goal..... BS
FogBat Posted February 8, 2009 Report Posted February 8, 2009 What??? Foligno got it? BUF: OTT: :wallbash:
SwampD Posted February 8, 2009 Report Posted February 8, 2009 BS penalty, but pretty goal by Foligno.
ROC Sabres Posted February 8, 2009 Report Posted February 8, 2009 Kinda funny how Mair punched him on the left side of his face but he was bleeding from the right side of his face. Don't you think?
thesportsbuff Posted February 8, 2009 Report Posted February 8, 2009 Kinda funny how Mair punched him on the left side of his face but he was bleeding from the right side of his face. Don't you think? there's a million different explanations for that, and the bleeding had no effect on the call so no point in discussing it. To everyone else: It was a penalty -- if you don't know how it works yet, you need to start watching more hockey: they ALWAYS call the retaliation. no point in bitching.
R_Dudley Posted February 8, 2009 Report Posted February 8, 2009 We are not matching Ottawa's play here in the 2nd period, just looks like we are hanging on, Thanks to Miller for keeping us in it... Okay boys lets not waste that effort . we need one here Now....

You won't get an argument from me on that one...

I know it had no effect on the call, just thought it was funny that it happened. BTW, been watching/playing hockey for 15 years and never saw a guy bleed out of the opposite side he got punched in the face on. And everyone else for whatever reason they feel like and I hate Ruutu so that's reason enough. :D
SabreInFla Posted February 8, 2009 Report Posted February 8, 2009 It amazes that no matter how piss poor the Sens seem to be, they always have our number.

And everyone else for whatever reason they feel like and I hate Ruutu so that's reason enough. :D So you're saying it's not feasible that somebody could be punched on the left side of the face, causing them to bite and possibly catch some skin from inside the right side of their lip?
Screamin'Weasel Posted February 8, 2009 Report Posted February 8, 2009 Harry Neale just totally misunderstood that stat he gave on the Ottawa coach being the 4th NHL to have coached last year in the AHL... What a doofus.
SwampD Posted February 8, 2009 Report Posted February 8, 2009 It's Nathan time. One goal will pick their game up.
wjag Posted February 8, 2009 Report Posted February 8, 2009 Delayed call goal... Goal went in and came back out Buffalo: Ottawa: :censored: :censored:
SabreInFla Posted February 8, 2009 Report Posted February 8, 2009 Anyone else afraid that a loss here and the Vanek injury could send us off the rails?
Screamin'Weasel Posted February 8, 2009 Report Posted February 8, 2009 Why are we playing like Toronto played last night?
thesportsbuff Posted February 8, 2009 Report Posted February 8, 2009 Anyone else afraid that a loss here and the Vanek injury could send us off the rails? Could be real bad news. With Vanek out we run into the same problem we do when Connolly is out, that we have no first line.
FogBat Posted February 8, 2009 Report Posted February 8, 2009 It amazes that no matter how piss poor the Sens seem to be, they always have our number. That is not always the case, but it sure does seem that way.
SwampD Posted February 8, 2009 Report Posted February 8, 2009 Anyone else afraid that a loss here and the Vanek injury could send us off the rails? Nope. I still think that when they decide to skate we can still win this one.
JujuFish Posted February 8, 2009 Report Posted February 8, 2009 Anyone else afraid that a loss here and the Vanek injury could send us off the rails? Hardly. Buffalo's playing their third game in four nights in Ottawa against a team that always gives them fits. What in this would send them "off the rails"?
R_Dudley Posted February 8, 2009 Report Posted February 8, 2009 This sucks we just seem to let Ottawa do what they want. Way too much ice being surrendered to them and we are not able to generate anything. Ottawa taking liberties and not getting any calls , seen this this BS before. If they were not going to show up and play in front of Miller tonight another reason Lindy should have played Lalime.
repster Posted February 8, 2009 Report Posted February 8, 2009 That is not always the case, but it sure does seem that way. Sabres sked catching up to them and Sens due for first win under their new coach. Without Vanek and Goose, I would be really impressed if we came back to win.
FogBat Posted February 8, 2009 Report Posted February 8, 2009 Why are we playing like Toronto played last night? It would be interesting to see if the Sabres can do to Ottawa what the Flyers did to the Bruins earlier today: come from behind. It's not a position I would want them to be in, but it would be nice if they did come back.
thesportsbuff Posted February 8, 2009 Report Posted February 8, 2009 Hardly. Buffalo's playing their third game in four nights in Ottawa against a team that always gives them fits. What in this would send them "off the rails"? Did you forget about the Vanek injury part?
