The Stafford goal is almost equally as sweet... Drew said he was "lucky" and Ruff would gave him guff if he messed it up.

It should be noted that this is a guy who suffered a horrific injury from a skate jumping a defenseman with his two skates just inches from the guy's head. :doh:

I'm not sure what you'd have rather seen him do there. He'd already started breaking toward the net when the D-man went to the ice. At that point, he has 3 options, trip over him, step on him, or jump over him. Am I missing another option?

Speaking of great goals - here's a video i just saw posted somewhere else i think you guys will like. It was shown on TSN's Sports Centre after the Sabres/Leafs game and they were so impressed with Drew Stafford's goal, that they decided to make a Top 10 list.... check it out-

But that Max goal would still make the list. I know it's fashionable to hate the guy, but when his moves actually work out, it's spectacular.

To be fair though, it looks like he kicks out his left leg up and away from the guys head/neck, at least from the angle we got.

I've been looking for video of that Sanderson goal for a long time. I thought he came in more straight on, but I definitely remember the one-handed flip. I know that Paille was the actual goal scorer, but Derek Roy's move and then falling pass (similar to goal that OV scored against Phoenix) here (about the 2:57 mark):

Watching the video, it is very funny that Connolly's first goal on the list is almost a carbon copy of Drew Stafford's, and in both goals, Teppo is in almost the exact same spot.
