jwcolour Posted February 7, 2009 Report Posted February 7, 2009 As far as Mair getting his chance he is looking good. Great job pickin the corner by Natedogg too
DR HOLLIDAY Posted February 7, 2009 Report Posted February 7, 2009 Nice to see the D jumping up into the play.... oh wait... he's playing forward D'oh is he............. :wallbash:
R_Dudley Posted February 7, 2009 Report Posted February 7, 2009 2 goals from the Sabre D in one game, holy schnikEEEEEEE's............ Not quite he's playing forward with Mair and Ellis and that line needs more ice time tonight if Lindy's going to be true to his word... Go Sabs
wjag Posted February 7, 2009 Report Posted February 7, 2009 Like the way the Sabres are back checking in this one...
R_Dudley Posted February 7, 2009 Report Posted February 7, 2009 Man what's with all this respect were showing Kovalev? <_< We need to stop backing up and check this guy damn it...
SwampD Posted February 7, 2009 Report Posted February 7, 2009 Man what's with all this respect were showing Kovalev? <_< We need to stop backing up and check this guy damn it... I think it's because he's huge and really good.
jwcolour Posted February 7, 2009 Report Posted February 7, 2009 I think it's because he's huge and really good. excellent answer.
R_Dudley Posted February 7, 2009 Report Posted February 7, 2009 I think it's because he's huge and really good. Yeah but he puts his pads on one at a time like anybody else and several times he was prime for a good body check to knock him off the puck.. FWIW That's my definition of too much respect, giving too much ice and not finishing the checks we have had on him especially given his history against us......
wjag Posted February 7, 2009 Report Posted February 7, 2009 Fantastic period by the Sabres.. About the only downer was stopping Miller's SO streak at 157 minutes... Need to kill off the 29 seconds of PK to start the third.. It is time for Pomminstein to get a goal.. I can't remember when his last one was. Connolly, Vanek, Roy are completely neutralized in this one..
bob_sauve28 Posted February 7, 2009 Report Posted February 7, 2009 Patsche looks like he is determined to make it as a forward. Nice goal by him.
Bmwolf21 Posted February 7, 2009 Report Posted February 7, 2009 Patsche looks like he is determined to make it as a forward. Nice goal by him. I think Paetsch just wants to be on the ice, and is doing anything and everything he can to make that happen.
SwampD Posted February 7, 2009 Report Posted February 7, 2009 I think Paetsch just wants to be on the ice, and is doing anything and everything he can to make that happen. This was actually just Lindy planning on another D man getting hurt. He figured he'd dress 7 for this game.
R_Dudley Posted February 7, 2009 Report Posted February 7, 2009 I think Paetsch just wants to be on the ice, and is doing anything and everything he can to make that happen. Exactly what I was getting ready to say and exactly the kind of player I want on the ice and playing for my team. .. Paille you taking notes ?

In the context of this discussion it doesn't matter one bit why Lindy put him in the lineup. It only matters that Paetsch is doing everything asked of him and more, working hard to make a positive impact at forward, on the point, dropping the gloves - anything to show Lindy he warrants more ice time.

Paille you taking notes ? Hopefully he will take note and both players will be better for the competition. At least I hope so
R_Dudley Posted February 7, 2009 Report Posted February 7, 2009 Man is Kotalik the biggest perimeter player we've had since Gratton or what.
... Posted February 7, 2009 Report Posted February 7, 2009 Man is Kotalik the biggest perimeter player we've had since Gratton or what. He has been putting in more of an effort these past couple of games.
ROC Sabres Posted February 7, 2009 Report Posted February 7, 2009 Wake up Lydman! Wake up Hecht! He has 16 hits on the season. He curls off of every hit he has lined up. And Connolly Lights it up!
