wjag Posted February 3, 2009 Report Posted February 3, 2009 This game has a good flow for the Sabres... Doing a lot of the little things right.. Winning puck battles..
Foligno's Nose Posted February 3, 2009 Report Posted February 3, 2009 What's a "Koda-lick"? Coat-a-lick... ...and the early remarks about the 'bigger' line-up Lindy Ruff is dressing tonight. (Peters for Hecht and Weber for Spacek,...Lalime for Miller?) Pretty much all we have healthy to dress, I think. Funny. These guys aint bad though. The intermission guy is a little fruity.
vasabresfan Posted February 3, 2009 Report Posted February 3, 2009 Good period in general. Weber can't get it out of our zone. He must have given eight pucks away easy. He almost gave me a heart attack with his toe drag next to the net. He's so green right now he makes Butler look like a ten year vet. Oh well, he's got to get experience sooner or later. Timmy is not playing a great game. He seems a little out of it tonight. I appreciate Gaustad's play more and more each game. He is a bull out there and he creates turnovers. He is incredibly valuable to this team. Kaleta's goal was exactly what you would expect from him-- production through working harder than anyone on the ice. Lalime's cut looked gross. I'm surprised he stayed in the game. I wonder if he'll be back for the second. Seems like he is seeing the puck well. It also seemed that Proger's slapper hurt his hand. I liked this team better without Peters in the lineup. I guess he is in the lineup because of Parros, right?

Peters looks intent on playing forward tonight...
evil_otto Posted February 3, 2009 Report Posted February 3, 2009 I liked this team better without Peters in the lineup. I guess he is in the lineup because of Parros, right? Yes, but if they get into it, Parros will clean his clock.
Foligno's Nose Posted February 3, 2009 Report Posted February 3, 2009 ...Peters in the lineup. I guess he is in the lineup because of Parros, right? Peters is in for the injured Hecht. There are no other healthy scratches...right? I may be wrong. and hey!, young D - off the boards and out. Keep it simple. (although I'm no one to talk, I would attempt the home-run/ cowboy pass myself - heh heh)
... Posted February 3, 2009 Report Posted February 3, 2009 There are no other healthy scratches...right? I may be wrong. Max. :nana:

I missed the lineup announcements...
tulax Posted February 3, 2009 Report Posted February 3, 2009 There are no other healthy scratches...right? I may be wrong. MacArthur I believe is a healthy scratch
... Posted February 3, 2009 Report Posted February 3, 2009 I HEARBY DECLARE A BAN ON CROSS-ICE PASSING! At least for the Sabres O.
Bmwolf21 Posted February 3, 2009 Report Posted February 3, 2009 Yes, but if they get into it, Parros will clean his clock. Peters fought him twice last year and held his own, so I like his chances.
Foligno's Nose Posted February 3, 2009 Report Posted February 3, 2009 MacArthur I believe is a healthy scratch WOW. You're right. I forgot all about him. Sorry, General. and Max? You could make the argument that he hasn't been healthy since the 06-07 season. Atleast it would be some kind of answer to his rotten play.

Did I miss him getting hurt?
wjag Posted February 3, 2009 Report Posted February 3, 2009 Ducks are picking it up this period... We need some O-zone play... Feels like the entire period has been played in the D-zone..
Foligno's Nose Posted February 3, 2009 Report Posted February 3, 2009 Peters fought him twice last year and held his own, so I like his chances. No! No es bueno! Jorge Pornsatashos es muy intimidatos! Peters es no Roberto Duran o 'Nacho Libre'!!! Good job knocking Bobby Ryan (the #2 pick behind Crosby in the '05 draft) tonight. He has been hot recently this season. Coat-a-lick with nice opportunity. Lalime solid, but questionable puckhandler.
wjag Posted February 3, 2009 Report Posted February 3, 2009 I swear that was offsides.. Pronger gets the benefit of the doubt Pronger drills it Buffalo: :worthy: Anaheim: :censored:

... Posted February 3, 2009 Report Posted February 3, 2009 If the ref would have blown the whistle to stop play instead of waiting for a Duck to dig it out from underneath Lalime perhaps that wouldn't have happened.
... Posted February 3, 2009 Report Posted February 3, 2009 They're TRYING to put our better D men in the penalty box - and it's working.
Foligno's Nose Posted February 3, 2009 Report Posted February 3, 2009 Marchant with the ultimate screen and they exploit the stick-less Kaleta. Damn! Montador makes brilliant move of engaging Rivet and take him off the ice for five. Damn!! Anaheim completely owned us this period. Shots are severely lopsided. Damn!!! Ducks power-play? DAMN. Got to get to the third with the tie.
