Hirly5 Posted January 29, 2009 Report Posted January 29, 2009 I was wondering about that as well, since Wikipedia (while usually unreliable) has a ton of older HS football rivalries listed. This fall's game was the 99th TNT game, according to the Tonawanda News. 99 years is impressive, but if any on that list are accurate it's not close to the record. Olean High '99 Olean is on that list as the second longest interstate rivalry with the Owls of Bradford (PA) which began in 1893. A few years ago was the 100th meeting which they held at "The Ralph". They took a few years off but now it is usually early in the year for both teams.
