pkwwjd Posted January 21, 2009 Report Posted January 21, 2009 I found it interesting that no one has won more than 7 of their last 10 in the NHL right now ... Buffalo is 7-3-0. A couple have gone 7-2-1 (Det & SJ), but Buffalo is playing decently -- mostly due to Miller playing possibly his best stretch of games in his career.
Guest Sloth Posted January 21, 2009 Report Posted January 21, 2009 Let's pull for an 8-2 2009 record tonight! That would be pretty sweet to have going into the all-star break.
wjag Posted January 21, 2009 Report Posted January 21, 2009 5-2 so far. Two bad road games against Chicago and Detroit and a lackluster 40 minutes at home against the Rangers, but overall, more ammo for DR to not make any significant trades. Jan 1 at Toronto W 4-1 Jan 3 at Boston W 4-2 Jan 6 vs Ottawa W 4-2 Jan 9 vs NY Rangers W 2-1 Jan 10 at Detroit L 1-3 Jan 14 at Chicago L 1-4 Jan 15 at Dallas W 5-4 Jan 17 vs Carolina W 3-1 Jan 19 at Florida W 3-2 (SO) Jan 21 at Tampa Bay Jan 27 at Edmonton Jan 28 at Calgary 8:00 pm Jan 31 at Phoenix 9:00 pm When the month started it looked like a gauntlet. Especially those first 5. Now it doesn't look so bad. Sure there are tough games in there, but the Sabres have elevated their game as well. The next 2 are definitely 'win-able'.

I just hope that they don't lose momentum over the AS break (kinda the opposite of last year.)
Guest Sloth Posted January 22, 2009 Report Posted January 22, 2009 Ok, we're already seeing what team has shown up tonight.
Guest Sloth Posted January 22, 2009 Report Posted January 22, 2009 I know it's early, but Tampa has been doing a good job of keeping the puck in the Buffalo zone.
