stenbaro Posted January 11, 2009 Report Posted January 11, 2009 Another great giveaway by TONI..God I dont like him
R_Dudley Posted January 11, 2009 Report Posted January 11, 2009 That sucks Miller deserves better than that. This team let him down tonight. He played one solid game.....
wjag Posted January 11, 2009 Report Posted January 11, 2009 Game over Another turnover in the zone Buffalo: :worthy: Detroit: :censored: :censored: :censored:
rickshaw Posted January 11, 2009 Report Posted January 11, 2009 What a waste of Miller's work. Brutal.
JohnRobertEichel Posted January 11, 2009 Report Posted January 11, 2009 ...which would be me. The first 35 minutes of last night's game was utterly pathetic. If it wasn't for Miller, we would have easily collected our 10th regulation home loss. They had 3 whole days of rest before this one, so why couldn't they come out with the same fire as the Rangers? NOTHING HAS CHANGED. Tonight's matchup: the league's most consistent team hosting perhaps the league's least consistent team. :wallbash:
smith Posted January 11, 2009 Report Posted January 11, 2009 What a waste of Miller's work. Brutal. exactly...doesn't matter who its against, you just can't waste these like this
SabreInFla Posted January 11, 2009 Report Posted January 11, 2009 Another classic installment of Buffalo sports.
Guest Sloth Posted January 11, 2009 Report Posted January 11, 2009 That sucks Miller deserves better than that. This team let him down tonight. He played one solid game..... That's been his team for the season. There is nothing else that can be said. Miller has been the only player giving it his all, but his team has not. If I were Miller, I'd be yelling my pucking head off at the Sabres in the locker room.
wjag Posted January 11, 2009 Report Posted January 11, 2009 I can't recall a game where the goal was just to get the puck out of the zone all game.. This was positively brutal to watch. Detroit attacks the puck all the time and intimidates the Sabres. When they came into the zone, they were just always the first to the puck...
SabreInFla Posted January 11, 2009 Report Posted January 11, 2009 We still have yet to beat Ty Conklin......WTF?
rickshaw Posted January 11, 2009 Report Posted January 11, 2009 Miller doesn't need to yell at all. He needs to say absolutely nothing, to anyone. Get on the plane, headphones on and go home without a word to any of them. I wonder how in 2 games, the team can only draw one penalty combined. Amazing.
SDS Posted January 11, 2009 Report Posted January 11, 2009 So, what I'm hearing in all the complaints is that our team is as good as the Red Wings and we should have beat an almost unbeatable team in their arena? We are not nearly as talented as that team, yet we came a couple of minutes of taking a point (and a chance for two) in a place where FEW teams get any points.
tulax Posted January 11, 2009 Report Posted January 11, 2009 If anything, this game really exposes a glaring need at center.

We'll be lucky to sniff the playoffs this year, just like last year. Get ready for a long road trip losing streak.
Guest Sloth Posted January 11, 2009 Report Posted January 11, 2009 Again, Miller should be telling his players to put some pucking pressure on the oppossing team! 48 shots against is pathetic. A goalie can only do so much. Miller fulfilled his role, but where the heck have the other players been. Buffalo has been a half ass work ethic team after the 05/06 season. The 05/06 season was the only one where Buffalo played hard minute for minute.
SwampD Posted January 11, 2009 Report Posted January 11, 2009 My thoughts exactly. Outshot 48-21???!!! We'll be lucky to sniff the playoffs this year, just like last year. Get ready for a long road trip losing streak. Didn't we just win four in a row and lose a close game to the SC champions...Back away from the ledge.
JohnRobertEichel Posted January 11, 2009 Report Posted January 11, 2009 If anything, this game really exposes a glaring need at center. Yeah, that's been kind of the theme for the past 124 games.
HurlyBurly51 Posted January 11, 2009 Report Posted January 11, 2009 Oh well, at least I can turn the football game on.
SarasotaSabre Posted January 11, 2009 Report Posted January 11, 2009 Losing is one thing, but Hecht's "effort" on 2nd Detriot goal was absolutely pathetic. He had 2 chances to go after the puck in his own zone and stood there like a statue. Game over right there. Awful.
SabresFan526 Posted January 11, 2009 Report Posted January 11, 2009 Man, Miller was solid again tonight. He seems to be on fire right now. Unfortunate the way the game ended tonight. I think there are two chances that Pominville had tonight that he has to put home those goals on open nets. He had two different scoring chances where he's got to put the puck in the net. Also, Miller probably could have had made the save on Hudler and Hossa's goals. Those things happen and this is a different game altogether. Overall, I thought the Sabres played pretty well in the third as they won 11 faceoffs and had 12 shots on goal. It was a good period but just lost it in the end. I'm not too concerned as the Wings are arguably the best team in the NHL and I was not expecting a win and the fact the Sabres were about 2 minutes away from getting a point was more than I expected. And for those of you who are upset about tonight, remember a few things, first the Wings are the defending Stanley Cup Champions, which means they are a pretty good team. Second, they have some extremely talented players in Hossa, Datsyuk, Zetterberg, Lidstrom, and Rafalski. They have perhaps the three best forwards in the NHL and the best defenseman in the NHL right now and probably the second best defenseman in the NHL. The Sabres do not come even close to the Wings in terms of level of talent. Even the Sabres top talent may not be as good as the Wings secondary talent, that's how good they are. Three, this team is third in the NHL in points. And while the Sabres made some mistakes that if they don't make may have allowed them to win the game, at the end of the day, the Red Wings are a really good team, so give them some credit.

That he was on the ice for more time than TV seems like a bad idea...
