SwampD Posted January 10, 2009 Report Posted January 10, 2009 I really hope we pull this out so that we can stop hearing about Miller not being able to steal a game.
bob_sauve28 Posted January 10, 2009 Report Posted January 10, 2009 Well, that was better. Loved the fans cheering the first shot on goal in the second :D
bob_sauve28 Posted January 10, 2009 Report Posted January 10, 2009 That was one hell of a pass from Vanek to setup the Stafford shot. Ya, I was admiring that too!
KD in CT Posted January 10, 2009 Report Posted January 10, 2009 Sabres are lucky to be alive after that period... Might possibly be one of the worst periods I watched in some time... But notable improvement after the goal. Hopefully they carry it into to the third.
Stoner Posted January 10, 2009 Report Posted January 10, 2009 When he first did it, I thought there was no way it was going to get by two Rangers.. It worked out great.. That's what I was thinking. Very low percentage play.
wjag Posted January 10, 2009 Report Posted January 10, 2009 Refs have swallowed their whistles in this one. It's amazing that Buffalo only drew one tripping penalty in that period with all the time they spent on defense...
Eleven Posted January 10, 2009 Report Posted January 10, 2009 This is BullSh!t , we aren't checking or battling for pucks or moving our feet. At this rate it's just a matter of time until the Rags get another by these zombies on skates. How can they do this at home to the fans... :wallbash: I missed the first and most of the second, and I realize it's tied, but what you posted is exactly what I'm hearing on the GR intermission report. Let's hope that with a new 20-minute clock, the Sabres come out with more.
Stoner Posted January 10, 2009 Report Posted January 10, 2009 huh? There's just over 9 1/2 minutes left now. First SOG of the period was at 9:56... Carry over from the first. After the requisite goal from the blue line, Miller has been very sharp. After the Sabres scored, it kind of felt like so many games during the Hasek Era.
R_Dudley Posted January 10, 2009 Report Posted January 10, 2009 Sabres are lucky to be alive after that period... Might possibly be one of the worst periods I watched in some time... Right on. I really hope we pull this out so that we can stop hearing about Miller not being able to steal a game. That would be great, he's done it in previous seasons, nice time would be now and I don't mean SO
Stoner Posted January 10, 2009 Report Posted January 10, 2009 Can the fans be any more frontrunning? Boo and jeer the team, then start a hearty Let's Go Buffalo chant after the goal. Sometimes I wonder why they call Buffalo such a good hockey town. For the Neale critic, here's another one: "A trip. Accidental, but obvious."
wjag Posted January 10, 2009 Report Posted January 10, 2009 That 2nd period was a dress rehearsal for tomorrow's game with Detroit...
wjag Posted January 10, 2009 Report Posted January 10, 2009 I'm going to put a positive spin on this game... If I was a Ranger fan, I'd be thinking they should be up a couple by now. They have let the Sabres hang around. Whenever you let a team hang around bad things happen.. Buffalo gets the next goal...
Bmwolf21 Posted January 10, 2009 Report Posted January 10, 2009 Carry over from the first. That's all and good, but the correction didn't really fit given my prior posts. I had originally posted that we didn't have a SOG this period - 7 minutes in - then followed up when they got the first SOG at 9L56 - 10+ minutes. Not to mention that the MSG announcers said nothing about the Sabres not having a SOG in the last 4 minutes of the first, but were starting to go on and on about the Sabres not having a SOG through XX of the second.
wjag Posted January 10, 2009 Report Posted January 10, 2009 Nice HD look at Roszival kissing the door..
HurlyBurly51 Posted January 10, 2009 Report Posted January 10, 2009 Roszival = OUCH! Did you see that faceplant?!
Bmwolf21 Posted January 10, 2009 Report Posted January 10, 2009 That's a couple bad turnovers for Spacho tonight.
wjag Posted January 10, 2009 Report Posted January 10, 2009 That's a big stop! Callahan's or Vanek's??? Both in my book..
SwampD Posted January 10, 2009 Report Posted January 10, 2009 I reallly think that if Kotalik would just try a little he'd have 20 goals already this season.
wjag Posted January 10, 2009 Report Posted January 10, 2009 Nice to play in the Ranger's zone, isn't it....
Bmwolf21 Posted January 10, 2009 Report Posted January 10, 2009 Nice turnover epidemic there...way to go, Lydman.
stenbaro Posted January 10, 2009 Report Posted January 10, 2009 That's a couple bad turnovers for Spacho tonight. Thats unlike him..They have been the real bad variety too
stenbaro Posted January 10, 2009 Report Posted January 10, 2009 LOL..I freaking hate Lydman!!!!!!I just started a thread and used him as my example..LOL
HurlyBurly51 Posted January 10, 2009 Report Posted January 10, 2009 Nice backcheck by MacArthur though.
