darksabre Posted January 9, 2009 Report Posted January 9, 2009 Valiquette is getting the start tonight per WGR550. I guess that I should add "forget that they are playing their backup goalie" to my previous list. ugh we're screwed now.
wjag Posted January 10, 2009 Report Posted January 10, 2009 Sabres having been getting the first goal lately. Hope that trends continue tonight...
ROC Sabres Posted January 10, 2009 Report Posted January 10, 2009 Ummmm is it just me, or are they actually having the Rangers annoucers on MSG. Yea yea yea.... I know, MSG is their network but i see more sabres games than rangers games on here and we always have RJ and Harry "balls" Neale. WTF?
KD in CT Posted January 10, 2009 Report Posted January 10, 2009 Valiquette is getting the start tonight per WGR550. Yup...MSG confirmed it. Go Sabres!
wjag Posted January 10, 2009 Report Posted January 10, 2009 Just looking at last night's fantasy stats. I have Heatley and he is un-droppable. He was a -4 last night and he had an assist... Ouch.!!!
ROC Sabres Posted January 10, 2009 Report Posted January 10, 2009 I hate the delay of game rule. I hate these ranger announcers. Every play they make is a "good" play and they are putting me to sleep. They have as much enthusiasm to work as someone who got fired at the being of the day but asked to work the whole day.
wjag Posted January 10, 2009 Report Posted January 10, 2009 Got to love the pace of this one... Very few stoppages...
wjag Posted January 10, 2009 Report Posted January 10, 2009 We need Vanek to have one of those games... He is soooo due...
SwampD Posted January 10, 2009 Report Posted January 10, 2009 good game so far. stafford looks good again. C'mon timmy...make it thruogh at least one period.
KD in CT Posted January 10, 2009 Report Posted January 10, 2009 C'mon timmy...make it thruogh at least one period. I cringe every time he touches the puck and there's a Ranger within ten feet.
wjag Posted January 10, 2009 Report Posted January 10, 2009 Man there aren't many shots on goals in the game for either team...
wjag Posted January 10, 2009 Report Posted January 10, 2009 Screen shot from the point by Mara Buffalo: New York: :censored:
wjag Posted January 10, 2009 Report Posted January 10, 2009 I haven't seen Drury in this one yet.....
Bmwolf21 Posted January 10, 2009 Report Posted January 10, 2009 Screen shot from the point by Mara Buffalo: New York: :censored: Nice to see Colton Orr parked right in front of Miller, standing untouched between Roy and Tallinder. :wallbash:
SwampD Posted January 10, 2009 Report Posted January 10, 2009 Even the games we won I couldn't stand watching our team defense. The other team's D is always WIDE EFFING OPEN at the blue line. It makes me CRAZY!
Bmwolf21 Posted January 10, 2009 Report Posted January 10, 2009 Even the games we won I couldn't stand watching our team defense. The other team's D is always WIDE EFFING OPEN at the blue line. It makes me CRAZY! Funny...on that goal both Rags' blueliners were open, and Colton Orr was untouched in front of the net...were we covering ANYONE on that play?
R_Dudley Posted January 10, 2009 Report Posted January 10, 2009 They played a pretty good period except the one area that is really hurting us this year is our point shots. They get a puck through on net and score, we shoot and miss the net or hit the people in front. RJ made a good comment you don't have to slap it to score just get it on net. Our defense something like 5 goals total, rangers something like 18. These defenseman need to learn the wrist shot and stop the zhitnik scud missles that never make it through. Comeon Buffalo lets step it up, we cannot give my dirt bag rangers fan B-in-law bragging rights here.... :chris: Lets get it started...
K-9 Posted January 10, 2009 Report Posted January 10, 2009 I meant to say 3-1 Sabres. Bastards made a liar out of me already. GO SABRES!!!
SwampD Posted January 10, 2009 Report Posted January 10, 2009 Funny...on that goal both Rags' blueliners were open, and Colton Orr was untouched in front of the net...were we covering ANYONE on that play? I think the two wingers were just following the puck, making figure eights between the face-off dot and the blue line.

It makes me CRAZY! Your right about that observation I'm thinking it's too often not to be something they're coached or the system they are using.

SwampD Posted January 10, 2009 Report Posted January 10, 2009 Your right about that observation I'm thinking it's too often not to be something they're coached or the system they are using. It absolutely is. I know we've talked about it before and it still makes me nuts.
SarasotaSabre Posted January 10, 2009 Report Posted January 10, 2009 If Harry Neale explains one more time that a shot from the blue line does not have to be a hard slap shot, I am gonna shoot myself. We get it Harry, a seeing-eye wrister can be a good thing. That along with describing a shot from "47 feet" or some other odd number. He is like a crotchety senile grandmother who forgets she told you the same thing over and over, while liking the sound of her own voice. To make matters worse, he consistently misidentifies players' names & numbers. He gets a grade of "F" in my book.
