My next jersey will likely be Mair. I got a Teppo winter classic this year since he will likely retire soon. If I buy a new third next year or after, it'll be Mair.

Mair might be here next year, the year after? Not so sure.

I did not vote. I suggest going to Laux Sporting Goods in the Blvd mall and getting Schoenfeld or Martin. I saw them both the other day. They are Sabre legends so it will never go out of style and you don't need to worry about FA.

I was wondering about that, too, when I bought that jersey. Mair is cheap (assuming he signs again for close to the league minimum), has skill enough to play on the third-line when needed, it decent on faceoffs, brings grit, can actually fight (within his weight class), is defensively responsible and rarely takes a shift or game off. Basically, he can and will do anything that you ask him to. There are a lot of items on that list that we don't have coming up through the system and he gives Lindy a lot of flexibility. I hope that he is extended for at least a couple more seasons. The only real problem that he has had is taking dumb penalties. Hopefully, Lindy is on him about that.

As long as you don't get one that says "Sabretooth" with a paw print on in instead of a number, you are good to go.

I'm going to have to cancel that order...

That's probably one of the hardest jerseys to get. I'd wear that everywhere if I got my hands on one.

At least you never have to worry about him getting traded or walking away during FA.

I know i mentioned it before, but we were at the Sabres-Blue Jackets game a couple years ago (during the 06-07 season) and some guy a couple rows in front of us had a slug jersey with the words "Stanley Cup" on the nameplate and an outline of the Cup in place of the number. (I might be a little off on what the nameplate said, but it was some version of Stanley Cup or Cup Champs or something along those lines, because I wasn't the only one who commented on it.)

I was there - Jan 29th 2007 - we kept saying Go Gators and pissing off all of the buckeyes fans, classic

We were there too...Me, the Husband, and our girls, in full Sabre gear. They were slinging t-shirts into the crowd between periods and my youngest caught one. It was like a 3XXX and was a TacoBell/Blue Jackets shirt so my daughter turned to the family behind us and offered it to them. The Mom grabbed it out of her hands and glared at her and no one never said Thank You! We were stunned. They were pretty mean the whole game and we weren't being obnoxious...we were just cheering our team! I love Ohio, I really do and this really suprised me.

I think I just realized that this may belong in the Complaint Thursday thread!

I was there too... after we lost everyone went to some bar and I spent atleast 300 bucks buying shots for anyone wearing sabres gear. Then I forgot my card at the bar and we had to drive back to dayton in the morning. Well the bar didn't open until like 5 or something so I just cancelled my card and left. Had to pay 20 bucks to get a new card, but the bar never charged me... pretty lucky.

Most Ohioans are very nice midwestern type people...but they also have way more than their fair share of trash and dirtbags.

Pommers. Mostly because I bought one for my kid (slug...she wanted it) for Christmas and it looks nice.

If he was buying it for his daughter, that would be the proper choice. (That or Roy.)

Considering he wants it for himself, he should go for the "C" and get the Rivet.

Seriously? There is an adult who I see at most games I go to with this jersey and it always makes me think that this is something that should only be worn by the 10 and under crowd.

You'd probably end up here.
