BetweenThePipes00 Posted January 2, 2009 Report Posted January 2, 2009 Not saying this is the only reason, but taking out the 2-line pass definitely encouraged more home-run passes where guys try to split the defense .... I'd be willing to bet that a good number of plays that turn into penalty shots now would have been offside (or not even attempted) if 2-line passes were still illegal.
