They are 2-2-0 against the Bruins this season (though, the Bruins are 2-1-1 against them, :censored: stupid points system); that's 20% of the Bruins' regulation losses and 25% of their OT losses. In fact, the Sabres' record against teams above them is much better than against teams below them.Of course, the Sabres are 0-2-0 in Boston, where the Bruins have been nigh unbeatable (14-1-1; second only to San Jose at 18-0-2.) If they win, that will be a HUGE statement.

Not sure this is accurate. It is something that this board seems to perpetuate but I think you will find that the record is similar...

Man, this board has become dead and quiet...in general. I remember when this board was packed every single game and we'd be on the 3rd page by now.

I got tired of posting to my self during games so now I just watch them.

God those frigging jerseys look awesome. Whomever came up with that abominable Rbk sluggalo design and whomever signed off on it should be shot.
Me, too.

Me three

They won and got the two points which is great. That said, I didn't think the Sabres gave any more effort than when they lost to the Caps. The difference between the two games is that Toronto has zero offensive threats and sub-AHL goaltending. They weren't noticeably more physical and they didn't dominate the boards. It just may seem that way because the drop in the level of compettition. If they go in the game against Boston playing as they did last night they could get run out of the building.

I'm inclined to agree with this assessment , up to the point Mr White got the 2 minute penalty for a bad porn mustache, the game was rather unimpressive. Take away the 2 bad goals Cujo let in and it's a close win...

It will take nothing short of full team all players effort for full 60 minutes to have a chance against Boston and then I'll also reserve judgement till after we get too see how we play in the Ottawa, Rangers and Detroit games. This team needs to show me something over a stretch of games not a shift or few periods before I get excited again... That said it's two points and keeps the tease alive for 8th place spot. It was an okay road win were they finally closed down the other team in the 3rd with the lead.... Baby steps...

Fixed.

I was also disappointed in the margins.

You got me there. Whomever/whoever always trips me up. That's why my favorite people at work are the copy editors who fix my stupid mistakes.

I blame the margins on Larry Quinn. Either that or on my widescreen monitor.

It may be closer now than it was, but when I posted the actual numbers a couple of weeks ago, there was a huge difference. Too busy to check right now.
