Stoner Posted January 1, 2009 Report Posted January 1, 2009 Thank God Lindy is on top of things. He's finally had enough. Changes have been made! http://sabres.nhl.com/team/app/?service=pa...rticleid=401160 I love this quote: "That might not be the end of the changes. There may be some other stalls moved.? Great.
Kristian Posted January 1, 2009 Report Posted January 1, 2009 I can't get over the fact that Sabres.com is actually this bit of "news" like they would real news, like a trade or personnel change. Just goes to show how utterly pathetic the Sabres are at this point, from the top to the very bottom.
deluca67 Posted January 1, 2009 Report Posted January 1, 2009 Rumor is that Lindy is going to have the toilet paper switched from 2 ply to the single ply in an attempt to toughen the ladies up.
Kristian Posted January 1, 2009 Report Posted January 1, 2009 Rumor is that Lindy is going to have the toilet paper switched from 2 ply to the single ply in an attempt to toughen the ladies up. You're s%"#ng me??!?!
2ForTripping Posted January 1, 2009 Report Posted January 1, 2009 Yeah that 1 ply or as it is known ,John Wayne toilet paper, you know rough and tough and will not take #%^$#! from anybody, well I guess we can hope that the new year will help our boys get a bit John Wayne and move in the right direction
carpandean Posted January 1, 2009 Report Posted January 1, 2009 Rumor is that Lindy is going to have the toilet paper switched from 2 ply to the single ply in an attempt to toughen the ladies up. I don't expect real change until they remove the tampon dispenser from the bathroom.
tom webster Posted January 1, 2009 Report Posted January 1, 2009 The real part of the story is that there are hints that all is not well in the lockerroom and specifically that advice is not welcomed from certain players. Its the same thing Campbell said in his interview in Canada a short time after being with the Sharks. I took a pounding for defending him then. http://www.buffalonews.com/sports/story/537684.html
RR61 Posted January 1, 2009 Report Posted January 1, 2009 There are too many guys in that locker room who TALK a good game about playing better, and not enough who actually DO play better.
Kristian Posted January 1, 2009 Report Posted January 1, 2009 There are too many guys in that locker room who TALK a good game about playing better, and not enough who actually DO play better. Problem is, all those who always talk a good game, will use the word "we" a lot, but in fact they mean "everyone else but me". And the brat pack not calling each other out (and acting like spolied children when they actually ARE called out), is fast moving from "unsubstantiated rumour" to "well known fact".
Bmwolf21 Posted January 1, 2009 Report Posted January 1, 2009 I don't expect real change until they remove the tampon dispenser from the bathroom. :w00t: There are too many guys in that locker room who TALK a good game about playing better, and not enough who actually DO play better. Amen. Problem is, all those who always talk a good game, will use the word "we" a lot, but in fact they mean "everyone else but me". And the brat pack not calling each other out (and acting like spolied children when they actually ARE called out), is fast moving from "unsubstantiated rumour" to "well known fact". Yep. They really need Darcy to pull the trigger and ship out one of the brat pack so they realize that this is going to stop.

Well Kristian at the risk of sounding smug we both have been beating that drum for awhile now I'm just too lazy to look through our old posts too see were we originally were both jumping on that rumor. Unfortunately this smacks of a desparation move by the coach. For crying out Loud DR back your coach up here and do something, anything ! But it has to include one of these core brat pack players otherwise they just do not seem like they will get it. Show some stones on this to salvage this season and show them you mean business... Hell send one of em down to the minors even if it exposes them to waivers and someone else claims him then your off the hook for their salary/contract just be ready to make a trade for some pieces as soon as space is open/that happens. Otherwise we are just dooming Lindy here to shuffling around deck chairs on the titanic while LQ/DR band plays on. :wallbash:
Stoner Posted January 1, 2009 Author Report Posted January 1, 2009 No no no, here's the real reason Lindy made the move: "...put our defense together so when I address them I only have to look in one place,? Ruff said. ?It?s something I thought about for a long time." How long? Maybe this team will be entertaining after all, b/c this is some pretty funny sh*t!
wonderbread Posted January 1, 2009 Report Posted January 1, 2009 I don't expect real change until they remove the tampon dispenser from the bathroom. hahahahahah! priceless!

Ruff said. ?It?s something I thought about for a long time." How long? Maybe this team will be entertaining after all, b/c this is some pretty funny sh*t! I guess that's one way to look at it.. Sorry all, New year hangover and headache equals pessimism for our Boys tonight starting the new year besides I started the new season all optimistic and glass half full for this team and look where that got me... at least this way expectations have only one way to go, up.... But not until I see a team that really buy's into working hard night in and night out and unless some changes are made I'm just not seeing it with this group of fella's...... Thats the problem with center ice this season I get to see allot of "Real caring passionate Hockey" just rarely including my favorite team. Now if I want to see some passionate hockey tonight I will have on alternate button the Bruins/penguins game because after Tuesdays and the fight between Wallace and Lucic(kid immediately stood up to Lucic who upsided him in the head even though he looked outmatched and lucic looked surprised he responded, must of thought he was playing the sabres) and the hurting the bruins put on the pens (it was close till 3rd period) the pens had a player only meeting and I expect to see another spirited game....
rickshaw Posted January 1, 2009 Report Posted January 1, 2009 It all goes back to the fact this team hasn't made an in season (non deadline deal) trade since they shipped Jason Woolley out in I believe, 2002!!!!!!!!!!! This team needs a serious overhaul. Time to cut their losses with Max and Connolly when/if he ever comes back. Get some grit in the lineup. I can handle losing, when the effort is there, but not because they are playing like pansies. HNY everyone!

This is f'n embarrassing. How much longer do they have stall changes and "fresh starts" before that useless GM of ours starts making trades and moving players???????? This team isn't good. :wallbash:

How much longer do they have stall changes and "fresh starts" before that useless GM of ours starts making trades and moving players???????? This team isn't good. :wallbash: "Change needs to come from within" - Darcy Regier, 2008. I suppose that means two of our wingers are magically going to learn how to play center overnight, so that The Injured One can be dumped, and Hecht can get throw back on the wing, where he clearly demonstrated that he belongs. Hasn't happened yet, but be patient - It'll happen any day now. Jesus Christ Darcy, how you still hold a job is beyond me.
Bmwolf21 Posted January 1, 2009 Report Posted January 1, 2009 Jesus Christ Darcy, how you still hold a job is beyond me. Darcy Regier and Ralph Wilson - fiddling while Buffalo sports burn...

dietlbomb Posted January 1, 2009 Report Posted January 1, 2009 That this is news tells a lot. This team is stuck in the mud. I recommend they demolish the Aud.
bottlecap Posted January 1, 2009 Report Posted January 1, 2009 ?We?ve got to be able to give the other guy a hard time when he?s not playing well, be able to tell him." Jochen Hecht. Jochen what happens when the "other guy" is you? What happens when the "other guy" is about ten or fifteen players on the same team?
