Lindy stated today that he is "still a ways away" and that he "wouldn't say near future." Even if he played tomorrow, he could only play a maximum of 52 regular-season games. Given Lindy's quote, I'm guessing his start won't be for at least a couple of weeks, making it unlikely that he will play any more than last year (48 games.) I'd say he'd have to play just about every game to stand a chance. Basically, he'd have to play out the rest of the season with nothing more than a single game off here or there. Even then, I'm not convinced, it better be a short-term, low-pay contract and he better be penciled in no higher than third center on the depth chart (Hecht can't be second either.)

 

Yes,it doesnt look very good for TC. A one year deal worth maybe 2.5 to 3 mil is probably as good as he should get.
