Two or less Posted December 13, 2008 Report Share Posted December 13, 2008 The win that wasn't. Harry Neale just said that Toronto out played Buffalo? Not for the first 40 minutes. Sabres should have had a 3 goal lead going to the 3rd period. When it was 1-1 and Toronto survived the first 40 minutes just allowing a goal, i knew we may be in trouble. That's gotta be a stunner. Stafford and Max missing empty goal chances. Vanek and someone else missing near chances on the PK. They gotta score those. I'm not saying each scoring chance must be a goal, but they blew way too many high quality chances tonight. In the 3rd period, it was all Toronto. The 6 minute PP we had to start the 3rd period that we had like zero shots gave Toronto way too much momentum for the rest of the period. Toronto took the game from there and took it home.
