In a game the Portland Pirates needed for moral and confidence, they were more than glad to cash the check as they overcame a two-goal deficit to beat the Manchester Monarchs, 4-3 in a shootout in front of 2,797 at Alfond Arena on the campus of the University of Maine. ?For game that was not the coach?s best friend,? said Dineen. ?This game had a lot of personality to it.?
