Strow Posted December 7, 2008 Report Posted December 7, 2008 Crazy game tonight. Miller lets in goals so fast after we score its a theme of his its like he just isn't focused.
smith Posted December 7, 2008 Report Posted December 7, 2008 so i watched it, but i haven't quite processed -- anybody care to break down exactly wtf happened that period?? im so confused. imagine "keystone cops" but actual scoring for both teams
darksabre Posted December 7, 2008 Report Posted December 7, 2008 lol i really didn't want to watch this whole game. why can't one team just run away with a lead?
Claude Balls Posted December 7, 2008 Report Posted December 7, 2008 I think the guys may be starting to get a little frustrated with their play as of late. They are playing like the team that was here when Nolan was coaching.
ROC Sabres Posted December 7, 2008 Report Posted December 7, 2008 Wow did you call that. Well buffalo is playing the "we just scored so we don't have to do anything" game so we give them up left and right while we do it.
FearTheReaper Posted December 7, 2008 Report Posted December 7, 2008 I've officialy given up hope on Ruff ever coming up with lines that make sense. Hecht at center really needs to stop. And does he ever stop and think that an actual playmaker paired with Pominville might bring some offense out of him? And why use Gerbe on the wing? Why not put Gerbe with Hecht and Pominville? Its just dumb. I cant really say that its huge reason for our inconsistency, but the lack of chemistry certainly doesn't help.
SwampD Posted December 7, 2008 Report Posted December 7, 2008 At least this game is entertaining. The last last couple were just complete duds.

Maybe it's just the shock of seeing Roy and Vanek split, but this game seems so weird. There seems to be no flow, yet three goals have been scored...
wjag Posted December 7, 2008 Report Posted December 7, 2008 Buffalo PP has been a clinic in hitting Tampa players....
Claude Balls Posted December 7, 2008 Report Posted December 7, 2008 Man, Hecht must have tagged Vinnie pretty damn good. Anyone see that huge shiner he came out of the locker room with for the start of the third? I have never seen an eye darken up that quickly.
wjag Posted December 7, 2008 Report Posted December 7, 2008 That was pretty... Roy from the slot Now how about holding the lead for the next minute???? Buffalo: :worthy: :worthy: :worthy: :worthy: Tampa: :censored: :censored: :censored:

smith Posted December 7, 2008 Report Posted December 7, 2008 Lindy: "Somebody cue Ryan for an easy let-in"
wjag Posted December 7, 2008 Report Posted December 7, 2008 With 6 minutes to play, Lightning still have no SOGs in the third...
smith Posted December 7, 2008 Report Posted December 7, 2008 2 chances to seal it up here...come on RJ lead me astray... kill this off
wjag Posted December 7, 2008 Report Posted December 7, 2008 2:42 minutes to a very needed W 2:00 1:30 1:00 Empty Net 0:30 0:12 Icing Buffalo 0:00 Yeah Baby!!!
Bmwolf21 Posted December 7, 2008 Report Posted December 7, 2008 Great. A faceoff in our own end. That doesn't scare the sh!t out of me or anything.... <_<
SwampD Posted December 7, 2008 Report Posted December 7, 2008 Whew is right. Gerbe looked great. I wish Goose played D instead. Teppo looks old. Mair played great. He just isn't Roy's back.
Claude Balls Posted December 7, 2008 Report Posted December 7, 2008 It looked like the players were relieved quite a bit when they were congratulating Miller. Haven't seen them look that loose in a long time. Here's hoping this game is the start to somewhat of a turnaround. Although Miller still looked shaky.
SDS Posted December 7, 2008 Report Posted December 7, 2008 Gerbe looked great. How so? I saw a guy hustling whose stick is too short to get to any pucks.

I didn't see any of the first two periods or any of the goals he gave up, but he made a few big stops down the stretch and on that last PP. Hopefully a sign he's starting to fight out of his slump.
