Buffalo Fan Posted November 30, 2008 Report Posted November 30, 2008 Man, we are gluttons. What the hell was that egg that the Bills laid? I guess we should consider ourselves lucky that the Sabres managed a split. Put away the sharp objects this season!
Claude Balls Posted November 30, 2008 Report Posted November 30, 2008 At least the Sabres can show something once in a while and beat good teams. The Bills are just pathetic and last weeks KC game was an obvious fluke. The Bills can't get any worse, they have imploded and hit rock bottom. How in the hell do you not give the guy the ball more than 15 times when he is averaging like 8 ypc. Moronic coaching.
darksabre Posted November 30, 2008 Report Posted November 30, 2008 This is the real Bills. I've accepted it and moved on. I will give the Sabres my attention, as usual.
Corp000085 Posted November 30, 2008 Report Posted November 30, 2008 I think the bills have a very legitimate shot at finishing the season 6-10. Today's game was a pathetic display of game planning, coaching, and players executing. Marshawn Lynch is the only guy deserving of our Buffalo helmet tomorrow morning as far as I'm concerned. The rest of them can go play arena ball somewhere else.

McKelvin might be worth keeping if he can shake the penalty bug. Although he has only had what, two starts in the NFL?
deluca67 Posted December 1, 2008 Report Posted December 1, 2008 If there is one good thing that can be taken away from this loss it is that the game in Toronto is now as meaningless as a pre-season game. With some more luck Losman will be starting as well. :censored:

He can't hold on to a ball but he sure can hold a defender. :censored:

Two or less Posted December 1, 2008 Report Posted December 1, 2008 I just heard a stat: Lynch had 1 carry in the 4th quarter. I don't know if that's true or not but that would be pretty crazy if true. This coaching staff may be the leagues worst.

I don't know if that's true or not but that would be pretty crazy if true. This coaching staff may be the leagues worst. It's true. His average of 8.4 yards per carry wasn't good enough to earn him anymore carries when the game was on the line and they were in the red zone only needing a yard or two for first downs.
Buffalo Fan Posted December 1, 2008 Author Report Posted December 1, 2008 The coaching staff is a joke. So from this game we can surmise that either: A. San Fransisco is MUCH better than KC or B. This coaching staff really does stink. Consider this thread officially hijacked. Ralph has to be given some credit for what the Bills have done for Buffalo, but his choices in coaches over the decades have left A LOT to be desired. By the way, does anyone believe that Mularky is as good as what the national media is saying about him?
Hirly5 Posted December 1, 2008 Report Posted December 1, 2008 Hardy is fast approaching bust status...but I really think this coaching staff (like all since Levy's tenure) have sorely underutilized the talent here... How can Hardy be a bust when he never gets on the field? They dont even put him on the field during redzone plays when he could help them out the most. Oh how short our memories are. Eric Moulds struggled the first few years he was a Bill and I think he turned out pretty good. Give the guy some time to actually play.

wjag Posted December 1, 2008 Report Posted December 1, 2008 Well at least it is December.. November was brutal for both teams: Bills 1-4 and Sabres 5-8 combined futility 6-12... Well at least it can't get worse... knock on wood...
inkman Posted December 1, 2008 Report Posted December 1, 2008 What the hell was that egg that the Bills laid? No egg, the Bills are who we thought they were. A team that fattened up on weak teams earlier in the season, now when even facing mediocre competition, can't get it done. The Bills are just pathetic and last weeks KC game was an obvious fluke. . No. Buffalo is better than KC but worse than SF. Pretty simple. This is the real Bills. I've accepted it and moved on. At least you understand.

We need legit coaches and a legit GM.

A team that fattened up on weak teams earlier in the season, now when even facing mediocre competition, can't get it done. That pretty much sounds like every team in this division. Other than the Jets win over the Titans, how many times have any of these 4 teams beat a good opponent?

Other than the Jets win over the Titans, how many times have any of these 4 teams beat a good opponent? I've been telling myself that Miami, the Jets and the Pats are bad teams but here they are with winning records. I'm thinking the AFC east might have the easiest combined schedules in modern NFL history.

I'm thinking the AFC east might have the easiest combined schedules in modern NFL history. I don't think many would argue about the NFC west and the AFC west being the two weakest divisions in the NFL. You can't get much easier than having both of them on the schedule. I can't wait until the Jets make the playoffs and then get blown out by one of the wild card teams. The NFC Norris (yeah, I don't even know it's real name at this point) is the only other division that deserves consideration. The lions are a major help there.
Claude Balls Posted December 1, 2008 Report Posted December 1, 2008 No. Buffalo is better than KC but worse than SF. Pretty simple. I ain't buying it. Buffalo is not worse than SF. DJ is worse than MS who still has to ask for directions to the head coaches office in SF he is so new at this. Buffalo's problems start at the top and poop flows downhill.

The score says otherwise, and SF is the only WC team to win three timezones away this year. Buffalo (not the fans, but the organization) deserved to lose. SF certainly had better coaching, so IMHO, blame for the state of the Bills lies squarely on Ralph Wilson.

Almost 10 years of crappy football that has covered several different GMs and head coaches. Ralph is the one constant over that time period.
Knightrider Posted December 1, 2008 Report Posted December 1, 2008 Almost 10 years of crappy football that has covered several different GMs and head coaches. Ralph is the one constant over that time period. February 4, 1993, when Ralph fired Polian, is most likely the darkest day of all in Bills history. It's hard to believe that's almost 16 years ago. It's been a gradual slide down, since.

It's hard to believe that's almost 16 years ago. It's been a gradual slide down, since. I haven't been around long enough and never really cared enough about NFL history enough to know the answer to this one. In their entire NFL days, is there anything of value outside of those Polian/Levy years? The only thing I ever hear about from this team's history is that streak against Miami in the 70s. Really, what I'm getting at here is, does Wilson have a long history of this cheap hire game that he likes to play or is it just a product of today's economy in professional sports? I'd love to hear that the Polian/Levy hirings weren't just the Bills catching lightning in a bottle (not that I'm holding out much hope on hearing that answer).
