FogBat Posted November 20, 2008 Report Posted November 20, 2008 Anyone want a ray of sunshine? :nana: Look... We would all say that the Rangers are playing very, very well, right... Okay... Okay... What do the Rump Rangers have to do with this? Well let me explain... They are playing well, right? The Sabres have 3 games in hand and are 9 points behind. I spoke to soon... The Rangers just scored to make it 5-3 against the 'Nucks! But... There is sunshine if they lose in reg! To quote my Hannah Montana: "Everybody makes mistakes, everybody has those days." Boy... You guys probably wish I never started posting here again! :nana: Hmmm. A friend of mine from Finland has tried to remind me that things should start looking better soon. I'm not that optimistic. There is more hope of our economy recovering overnight than for the Sabres to turn things around anytime soon. Maybe they're going after John Tavares.
SwampD Posted November 20, 2008 Report Posted November 20, 2008 I like it. A Lot. I like it as well. I also wouldn't mind seeing Lindy benched for a couple of games. If I see his wingers in no man's land one more time I'm gonna scream. They don't play deep enough to be a part of the play in front of the net, but they are too deep to keep opposing Dmen from getting the puck and sending it back in. I've been watching this for years and it effing makes me CRAZY.
Guest Sloth Posted November 20, 2008 Report Posted November 20, 2008 I'm thinking about not watching any hockey games until Thanksgiving has come and past. I want to be happy on Thanksgiving; not ticked off about Buffalo sports. I'm in need for some type of stress relief...
ExiledInIllinois Posted November 20, 2008 Report Posted November 20, 2008 Play Lalime 5 games in a row. I don't care what his record is. Miller needs to be woken up. The guy looked like a fish out of water tonight! Exactly! This is exactly what I have been putting the blame on Lindy for not doing... Lindy is grossly mismanaging our goaltender situation.
wonderbread Posted November 20, 2008 Report Posted November 20, 2008 Game thoughts... - Four very nice goals by the Sabres in the 1st. -No commitment to back checking by the Sabres especially in the first. -Instead of being benched for the rest of the period, Tallinder should have been told to take a shower and head to the press box. That pass was so much worse than TERRIBLE that I can't even describe it. -Miller overplayed the shooter on the first goal, did not have the near side covered on the flutter shot from the right boards, was playing with himself on the goal from behind the net and just sliding on the ice on the last one. I counted at least two arm wavers by Miller, but I hope everyone caught Mair do a "WTF arm wave" right in front of Miller on the goal from behind the net. That was my highlight of the night. -I can't believe I am saying this, but the defense is actually softer than it was last year. -3-6-1 in the last 10 games. Hey DR, Keep convincing yourself that you have this team this is going to be great in the "new NHL" except for one thing everyone forgot to tell you.... -Weekend started with a horrible loss to Columbus, falling apart in the 3rd against Pittsburgh, the Bills debacle and now this. Once again the only highlights are coming from the Portland Pirates. -Don't look now, but the Sabres have dropped to 7th in the conference and have 3 teams breathing down their neck only 3 points behind. -Trade needed NOW. Mancari & Weber called up NOW. Paetsch in the lineup NOW. Connolly put on waivers NOW. -I am so pissed I don't even want to go to the game on Friday.   agreed on all points. WTF is Miller doing waving his arms. Stop the GD puck you fairy. Tallinder is horrible. What happened to "The Captain" Its pretty bad when I actually look forward to one of Peters kabuki fights to try and resucitate [sp] this squad of floaters. (the kind in my toilet)
shrader Posted November 20, 2008 Report Posted November 20, 2008 -Instead of being benched for the rest of the period, Tallinder should have been told to take a shower and head to the press box. That pass was so much worse than TERRIBLE that I can't even describe it. That wasn't even the worst play he made there. After the horrible pass, he skated back towards the post for some reason, completely ignoring the two Bruins that drove to the net. That was the ultimate head scratcher. And now that's it. I really do quit. I'll see you guys in December (hopefully).
ROC Sabres Posted November 20, 2008 Report Posted November 20, 2008 I want to read it but can't find your post; would you mind re-posting it here? NP Connolly a waste of money There ya go.
ExiledInIllinois Posted November 20, 2008 Report Posted November 20, 2008 I wonder how much of Miller's problems seeing the puck is that he's slightly cross-eyed.The D-fense of course isn't cross-eyed but they have serious problems of their own. After the Bruins were let back into the game, the Sabres looked like they did against St. Louis when they were trying to tie things up. Very loose defense and very confused and uncomposed. Ah... The old Dwight Drane thing... I agree! And he is skinnier than a runway waif! :wallbash: :wallbash:

FogBat Posted November 20, 2008 Report Posted November 20, 2008 You hail from Derby Cross? How 'bout we head to Sturgeon Point, get in a boat and paddle to the other side... Oh, wait... That only leave us in Southern Ontario! :wallbash: Huh? You lost me on that one...
wonderbread Posted November 20, 2008 Report Posted November 20, 2008 And he is skinnier than a runway waif! :wallbash: :wallbash: A waif that likes fancy hats and shoes... <_<

Bmwolf21 Posted November 20, 2008 Report Posted November 20, 2008 But it's Thursday tomorrow! :D I have a feeling that this Thursday's complaint thread is going to be epic.
ExiledInIllinois Posted November 20, 2008 Report Posted November 20, 2008 Huh? You lost me on that one... Isn't New Era in Derby New York? Or are you just blanketing it in BFLO. I figure we all need to end it... We just get in a boat and head to Canada... :D Ah... Forget about it... I am loopy!

ExiledInIllinois Posted November 20, 2008 Report Posted November 20, 2008 I have a feeling that this Thursday's complaint thread is going to be epic. Can we just merge this thread and lop off the happy go lucky first part when BFLO was winning?...
ExiledInIllinois Posted November 20, 2008 Report Posted November 20, 2008 I'm thinking about following shrader's lead.  I find it ironic that I post for the first time in months and some of the rocks here are thinking about taking a hiatus. Were in this boat together brother! ;) ;)
SwampD Posted November 20, 2008 Report Posted November 20, 2008 I'm thinking about following shrader's lead. Don't do it. I was thinking about it as well, especially with the Bills. But just out of spite, I would rather see my teams lose every game than not be there if they won it all.
Bmwolf21 Posted November 20, 2008 Report Posted November 20, 2008 Things are pretty bad when a lot of diehards simply can't take it anymore and need to step away for a little bit.
Eleven Posted November 20, 2008 Report Posted November 20, 2008 don't go schrader. Misery loves company. to quote Albert Camus "In the midst of winter I finally learned that there was in me an invincible summer" Tom, Larry, Darcy, and I daresay Lindy...do you hear us? We're at the point where we're quoting Albert freaking Camus! FIX IT!
LabattBlue Posted November 20, 2008 Report Posted November 20, 2008 Things are pretty bad when a lot of diehards simply can't take it anymore and need to step away for a little bit. I'm not letting them off that easy. I'm not going anywhere. :D
Claude Balls Posted November 20, 2008 Report Posted November 20, 2008 On a positive note, the Syracuse Orange B-ballers are 2-0. Let's go Orange!!!
kingcongkorab Posted November 20, 2008 Report Posted November 20, 2008 Watching the game in HD meant watching the Bruins feed tonight. By the middle of the third period they were taking pity on the Sabres calling our performance "dsispirited". This game pointed two teams going in different directions and we all know what team is circling the drain. Darcy needs to make a major move or two and shake this team up. We have given up what, 18 goals in the past 3 games? This whole month has been a friggin nightmare for Buffalo Sports :wallbash:
Claude Balls Posted November 20, 2008 Report Posted November 20, 2008 Tom, Larry, Darcy, and I daresay Lindy...do you hear us? We're at the point where we're quoting Albert freaking Camus! FIX IT! I got something better for them, F_ _ K IT!
