That big ass intrusive stats bar that MSG always puts on the bottom of the screen has GOT to go. It takes up way too much space. I think it's Versus that uses a real small one... MSG needs to start doing that.

I'm watching the HD feed on DTV, which is the Pittsburgh announcing crew.....good even-handed announcing, except the play by play man continues to say VONek instead of Vanek....driving me absolutely batty. What's even funnier is that the analyst is pronouncing Vanek correctly

I'm pretty sure he's saying Ludman too. But the worst of all though is that he's breaking one of the cardinal rules of broadcasting (at least it's a rule in my mind anyway). He keeps calling Malkin Gino. Never use nicknames or first names when calling a game. There is only one exception to that rule and it's either brothers or players with the same last name.

Connolly is sore and can't play? I bet the same can be said about 75% of the players on any given night. Is it a case of he can't play or won't play through the soreness?

It's apparent that Connolly plays when he wants to. Very frustrating and there is no way he gets re-signed.

He will continue to play well when he plays but he can't be counted on. He makes the team better but I bet he will not be re-signed.
