Corp000085 Posted November 12, 2008 Report Posted November 12, 2008 7:00pm Just win, please? Lindy is juggling the lines, and also I wouldn't be suprised to see lalime tonight. I'd like Lindy to stick to a rotation even when times are tough. Can't ride miller to the ground like last year. I l ike the matchup though. A hurting buffalo vs. a weak western conference team? Just let it all hang out and try to throw the kitchen sink at them.
MarkAF43 Posted November 12, 2008 Report Posted November 12, 2008 they better win, cause i will be there tonight!
Kristian Posted November 12, 2008 Report Posted November 12, 2008 I'm still pissed over how we managed to lose against them last year, which is basically what started our downward spiral, which eventually caused us to miss the playoffs.
Chief Enabler Posted November 12, 2008 Report Posted November 12, 2008 I'm still pissed over how we managed to lose against them last year, which is basically what started our downward spiral, which eventually caused us to miss the playoffs. Wow, I had the same thought. As soon as I realized it was in St. Louie. What section are you in Vanek-man?
SMIRNOFF Posted November 12, 2008 Report Posted November 12, 2008 Great, another home game against a "last place" team. Better wake up, guys!! They've had some time off. I hope they aren't rusty. Come out on fire and put it away early. 4-1 Buffalo (regardless of who is in goal).
rbochan Posted November 12, 2008 Report Posted November 12, 2008 Two words..Keith Tkachuk The Blues are going to come into the game hungry and mean after losing five straight.
Kevbeau Posted November 12, 2008 Report Posted November 12, 2008 Two words..Keith Tkachuk Blues came to Atlanta for a preseason game. Tkachuk was a healthy scratch. Saw him having some friendly pre-game "banter" with the refs. The dude is jacked. Edit: Oh yeah, be nice to get a solid win going into the back to back this weekend. Also, considering there's some big divisional games coming up the 2nd half of this month, the Sabres need to ramp up the physicality. I thought they hit pretty well against Atlanta, but skirted the Bruins. Spekaing of the Bruins, NESN will be the downfall of civilization.
Hank Posted November 12, 2008 Report Posted November 12, 2008 17 hours until I leave Iraq......98 hours until I get home......Sabres win 5-1
Guest Sloth Posted November 12, 2008 Report Posted November 12, 2008 Two words..Keith Tkachuk Don't forget about Paul Kariya. As always, the guy is scoring points. It did suck the Sabre lost last year after having a 2-0 lead. Buffalo blew a lot of leads last year. Philly had a 10 game losing streak and Buffalo was up 3-0. The Sabres managed to blow that one and I really think that game fired up the Flyers.
inkman Posted November 12, 2008 Report Posted November 12, 2008 Don't forget about Paul Kariya. As always, the guy is scoring points. I believe his injury status leaves him quesitonable for this game.
MarkAF43 Posted November 12, 2008 Report Posted November 12, 2008 17 hours until I leave Iraq......98 hours until I get home......Sabres win 5-1 Have a safe and speedy trip home.... it seems like it takes forever (at least for me it did) but have a good flight and enjoy being home!
Hank Posted November 12, 2008 Report Posted November 12, 2008 Have a safe and speedy trip home.... it seems like it takes forever (at least for me it did) but have a good flight and enjoy being home! Thank you. The trip home will suck.....pack into an Omni airline plane like sardines for what, 18 hours? Not looking forward to it. I am looking forward to stopping in Shannon Ireland though, we de-board for about an hour. I'll get a new Munster jersey. :)
G-Daddy Posted November 12, 2008 Report Posted November 12, 2008 Hank (and everyone else in the Armed Forces)....Thanks very much for your service to this country....it is greatly appreciated!! Go Bills! Go Sabres!
carpandean Posted November 12, 2008 Report Posted November 12, 2008 I wouldn't be surprised to see lalime tonight. I'm thinking that he'll play Friday against the Blue Jackets. He had a little bit better numbers against St. Louis last year (basically, one less goal against over three games on less shots per game), but as was pointed out, the Blues will be hungry after starting hot (4-1-0 in the first 5), then dropping fast (1-6-1 in the last 8 and 0-4-1 in the last 5.) Columbus doesn't have much better of a season record, but have won three straight. Plus, Columbus is half of a set of back-to-back games and Miller should play against the Penguins.

I'm thinking Miller tonight as well. He has had enough rest since Boston and should be desperate to play a good game. I think Buffalo comes out flying and has a good start. I just hope they play good for 60 mins. It did suck the Sabre lost last year after having a 2-0 lead. Buffalo blew a lot of leads last year. Philly had a 10 game losing streak and Buffalo was up 3-0. The Sabres managed to blow that one and I really think that game fired up the Flyers. I was at that Philly game last year and it sucked!!! To make it really crappy was the fact that Briere score the winner in the shootout.
rickshaw Posted November 12, 2008 Report Posted November 12, 2008 Not sure how I feel about this one. The Blues, for some reason or another, have had our number over the years. I hope the boys are ready to go, otherwise it's 3 down in a row, and that is not a good trend to set.
nfreeman Posted November 12, 2008 Report Posted November 12, 2008 17 hours until I leave Iraq......98 hours until I get home......Sabres win 5-1 Yesssss!

Sad thing is two of the three are not that good...

Sad thing is two of the three are not that good... What's worse is that just one player on the Bruins (Lucic) has owned us the last year and a quarter.
ROC Sabres Posted November 12, 2008 Report Posted November 12, 2008 Per WGR. Peters in, Stafford and Kaleta out. Miller in goal. So the lines look like: Vanek-Roy-Kotalik Hecht-The Skill-Pommers Mair-Goose-Peters Paille-General-Max
R_Dudley Posted November 12, 2008 Report Posted November 12, 2008 17 hours until I leave Iraq......98 hours until I get home......Sabres win 5-1 Good luck for a safe trip and God bless... I'm thinking that he'll play Friday against the Blue Jackets. Agree with Miller tonight, Lalime Fri, Miller against Pens saturday which probably means Lindy will do Miller Tonight and Fri w Lalime Sat.. Expect close hard fought road game from the blues except they should still have them when they leave.. Bflo 4-1 ...nice return to defense.. Go Sabres.

As long as it's not Pie-yay and Mac standing in the corners going "Does Max know where he's going?"
