spndnchz Posted November 4, 2008 Report Posted November 4, 2008 Seems like last years guys get more props than who's been good this year so far. Remember last year Max being in the voting? I was like whazat? And yeah, we should start a "Vote for RoryNummie" campaign. Full list here. Voting starts Nov 12, with real time results on Vote.NHL.com/results edit: or ww could cut and paste it and take up three pages of the screen.

Taro T Posted November 4, 2008 Report Posted November 4, 2008 I still don't understand why the NHL can't have 1 player at each position (2D) from each team on the ballot and have a LW, C, and RW not just a generic "forward." MLB can have 8 or 9 on from each team(depending on whether it's NL or AL), so why not? And I'd let each team determine which players from their team end up on the ballot and have them choose the players in mid-November; so there is actually some correlation between which players are nominated and which actually deserve to be nominated.
inkman Posted November 4, 2008 Report Posted November 4, 2008 Miller, Roy & Vanek, but Numminen? thought maybe Ree-vay would get some ink, then again we could start the Vote for Teppo campaign again. Disappointed no Rivet, Pominville, or a wildcard like Spacek.
frisky Posted November 4, 2008 Report Posted November 4, 2008 Last year's all-stars for this year. Do they pick the list from last year's performance? Who's picking the list? Is it the same panels of people that Reebok tested the Sluggalo on?
LabattBlue Posted November 4, 2008 Report Posted November 4, 2008 Disappointed no Rivet, Pominville, or a wildcard like Spacek. Not putting Pominville on the ballot is a huge kick in the nuts to him. What a joke.
Chief Enabler Posted November 4, 2008 Author Report Posted November 4, 2008 Not putting Pominville on the ballot is a huge kick in the nuts to him. What a joke. I think Miller and Vanek get in. Besides that, its a motivational tool. <_<
Eleven Posted November 5, 2008 Report Posted November 5, 2008 It's "early voting." It's a 2008 thing.
Hawerchuk Posted November 5, 2008 Report Posted November 5, 2008 Not putting Pominville on the ballot is a huge kick in the nuts to him. What a joke. We're gonna have to "Write In" our POMS votes!!
FogBat Posted November 5, 2008 Report Posted November 5, 2008 It's "early voting." It's a 2008 thing. Talk about being on to something! As an aside, I have the utmost respect for Teppo, but I'm not so sure that he is All-Star material. Having said that, does anyone here know who is the oldest player to get into the ASG? Gordie Howe?
TM8-PL16 Posted November 5, 2008 Report Posted November 5, 2008 I'll take a bunch of heat for this... but right now, I'd write in Kotalik. Just saying if someone put a gun to my head and said pick a Sabre that isn't on the ballot I'd pick him... again, not saying he will deserve it once Jan. comes just saying that right now he's playing well and deserves a thought. Especially if people are talking about Rivet and he missed some games...
