Mr.Christopher Posted November 8, 2008 Report Posted November 8, 2008 I think people-especially conservatives-felt they had to pick one of the mainstream guys and stay in the middle (which is really left) in order to have a chance to compete with Obama or Hillary. That's why even here in Va Beach Ron Paul got a tiny amount of votes in the primary. Maybe now we can go back to the drawing board and get behind Paul and people like him because it is what we believe in, rather than just to try and cling to power. I completely agree. I felt the McCain/Palin ticket was a joke. Someone like Ron Paul probably would be more appealing to vote for than McCain.

I joined it a couple of months ago, and I have no regrets.
FogBat Posted November 10, 2008 Report Posted November 10, 2008 Does anyone have any thoughts about the so-called "Fairness Doctrine"?
FogBat Posted November 12, 2008 Report Posted November 12, 2008 Look this up and notice the play on words with Obama. It's scary to think that we are about to have an undead empty suit become the next POTUS.

I do have to say that the days since the Election have been great fun. Watching as the Republican Party eats it own is great entertainment.
nobody Posted November 12, 2008 Report Posted November 12, 2008 I still expect Bush/Cheney to create some event where they suspend the inauguration and remain in power.
SarasotaSabre Posted November 12, 2008 Report Posted November 12, 2008 I still expect Bush/Cheney to create some event where they suspend the inauguration and remain in power. please, stop the conspiratorial melodrama ..... not gonna happen

Yes, I suppose it's been great fun if one is a Socialist and a sore winner.....the Republican Party is going through its' expected re-organization and re-branding, just as the Dems would if they left office. Nice try though to bash the Rep Party further, though. Our maybe the brain dead empty suits are the Prez-elect and his new all-powerful Chief of Staff, Rahm "Godfather" Emanuel ?, (who once sent a dead fish in the mail to a political opponent during an election)....yeah, that's who I want as our President's #1 man. These two power-mongers would not ask a simple question asked of them this past weekend - "Do you plan on raising taxes on the top 5% of taxpayers (to fund the next economic stimulus)". They would not answer the question and in fact dodged it. Typical career politicians, products of the Chicago political machine. Just what we need right now....

SarasotaSabre Posted November 12, 2008 Report Posted November 12, 2008 what is fixed? PXT I made a couple errors in my post and fixed them.....no biggie
Eleven Posted November 12, 2008 Report Posted November 12, 2008 what is fixed? PXT Nothing, yet. Wait until January. And by 2016, the whole mess will be fixed right back up again....
FogBat Posted November 13, 2008 Report Posted November 13, 2008 You're a very strange person, do you know that? Believe it or not, I actually took it as a compliment. Strange but not insane. Maybe I need to quit listening to Red Green, Steven Wright, and the Royal Canadian Air Farce. B-)

deluca67 Posted November 13, 2008 Report Posted November 13, 2008 I still expect Bush/Cheney to create some event where they suspend the inauguration and remain in power. Just don't let Obama go hunting with Dirty Dick.
deluca67 Posted November 13, 2008 Report Posted November 13, 2008 I see you conveniently forgot to mention 3,000 innocent lives being taken by Islamofascists during the W presidency? I bet you were one of superior thinkers who thought we deserved that, huh? Can't wait to see how the Messiah responds when he will most surely be tested by a rogue dictator or terrorist attack....maybe we'll just "negotiate" Seems kinda funny that a devoted atheist like you is conducting a moral witchhunt on anyone as the "Anti-Christ" I like Christian mythology  3,000 innocent lives were taken. You can add thousands of more to that total by adding in the "Iraq War" that was based on lies. All of the blood of those victims is on W's hands. I can tell you have been too wrapped up in the Bush Presidency. You used "Messiah" instead of "President".

And again you forget to omit one key fact - Hussein the Butcher is dead. Your lame attempts at Revisionist History are comical. Don't misquote me again - that is your specialty; I was clearly referring to Obama as the Messiah - he is going to put money in every needy person's pocket, right?

SwampD Posted November 13, 2008 Report Posted November 13, 2008 nice try - and what exactly did Hussein do with this power? He abused it to the point of gassing Kurds.....nice You are right. He absolutely did and neaded to go. All I'm saying is that oppression and tyranny need to be scorned no matter what side they are on. If you don't think that dropping bombs into cities(during Shock and Awe) is a form of terrorism then that just makes me sad. Over 100,000 inocent people died during that event, about 30% of which were children. That means that GW out did Osama by 30 times. Unfortunately I don't believe that we are rid of the Bush crime syndicate just yet.

And Neville Chamberlain enabled Hitler through his failed appeasement - by your logic, do also hold the Brits accountable for Hitler's atrocities?
